Husband getting haircut from another woman

Am I losing my mind over nothing or did he cross a line?
My husband spent the night at his brothers house and the next day came home with a new haircut (terrible buzz cut, one length all the way round, looks like a kiwi fruit).
I asked him who did it and he said it was his brothers girlfriend. She’s no hairdresser. The haircuts I’ve given him in the past were just as bad but at least I did them. I’ve always said she’s a little too friendly with my husband. A bit of a pick me girl. He’s never seen it and never shown any interest during family gatherings.
I feel betrayed. I feel embarrassed. Surely she thought that she’s better than me and that I’m a useless wife that can’t even cut my husbands hair?! She’s a nice girl and we get on but I feel like that kind of stuff should be done by me or the hairdresser. No one else. Maybe his mum if push comes to shove. Why not go to the barber or ask me? Why ask her? I’m so upset and he’s saying I’m overreacting.

Crikey. She was probably doing brothers hair and did dh while at it. Massive over reaction.

SingingSands · 24/07/2022 16:41

I* feel embarrassed.

You should. Get a grip woman!

WhereYouLeftIt · 24/07/2022 16:42

Get a grip.

tithonia · 24/07/2022 16:42

I wouldn't make too much of it because ultimately it's just the hair on his head, but tbh, yes, it would annoy me if I already felt she was overly attentive to him. It's not the norm these days to give your husband haircuts, so I wouldn't find it embarrassing on that count.

DH has never wanted me to cut his hair, even during the pandemic, so I'd be even more irritated if he let some random non-professional woman cut it.

viques · 24/07/2022 16:43

Well if it’s any comfort I imagine that his opinion of her has dropped several notches since she turned him into a stubbly fruit. She is probably useless at toe nail cutting and bacne squeezing too.

CallOnMe · 24/07/2022 16:44

You can always tell when schools out 🙄

InFiveMins · 24/07/2022 16:45

Why did he ask her to cut his hair if you normally do it for him? Did his hair actually need cutting?

Jedsnewstar · 24/07/2022 16:45

Surely she thought that she’s better than me and that I’m a useless wife that can’t even cut my husbands hair?!

Who would even think this. I would pmsl if anyone said that to me. All I can picture is a 1950s house wife crying over her wife duties failure.

You know there are LOTS of women who cut hair better than most wife’s. In 2022 we call them hairdressers.

TooBigForMyBoots · 24/07/2022 16:47

I get you @Purplehair22. My ExH let a nurse squeeze a spot on his back. There was no need! He wasn't seeing her for the spot.

I left him a few months later. Get your ducks in a row and LTB.

MiWadiMyChoice · 24/07/2022 16:47

And what did she do to his penis?

Jackanackanory · 24/07/2022 16:49

Draughtycatflapreturns · 24/07/2022 16:31

You’re ‘so embarrassed’. He had a haircut. It’s not like he had an emergency shit round the back of Argos.

😆
Quite.

As pp said, perhaps she was cutting her boyfriend’s hair and gave your husband a quick going over (so to speak).

TarasHarp55 · 24/07/2022 16:49

I wouldn't feel betrayed but I wouldn't like it. I can't imagine cutting someone elses husband's hair myself. I know husbands aren't a possession but it seems a bit personal tbh. It could have been a bit of flirting couldn't it.

Draughtycatflapreturns · 24/07/2022 16:51

Did she lean in and say “anything for the weekend, sir?”.

SallyWD · 24/07/2022 16:52

It wouldn't bother me at all. In fact, my DH has a female friend who sometimes cuts his hair. I'm always just relieved as it means I don't have to do it!

AnyFucker · 24/07/2022 16:53

I fancy a fruit salad now

upthem5 · 24/07/2022 16:53

Id LTB if he looks like a kiwi fruit 🤣

BigChesterDraws · 24/07/2022 16:54

If he went to see her purely for the haircut I would find that a little weird. But he didn’t. He was spending time with his brother. Maybe the girlfriend cut his brother’s hair and offered to cut your husband’s so he just agreed.

Is he normally particular about his appearance? A short buzz cut is very practical for the summer.

Dotcheck · 24/07/2022 16:54

🦇💩

upthem5 · 24/07/2022 16:55

An emergency shit round the back of Argos. Hahaha….

The question is, did his small kiwi fruits also get a buzz cut? Because that would be crossing the line 🥝🥝

EricaVonFiddlesworth · 24/07/2022 16:56

You've nailed the issue!

The lean in......her tits touched the back of his neck. Grubby cheat🤮

EricaVonFiddlesworth · 24/07/2022 16:59

Meant to quote this;

Draughtycatflapreturns · Today 16:51

Did she lean in and say “anything for the weekend, sir?”.

Figgygal · 24/07/2022 17:01

What? Why would you get upset about THAT?

lioncitygirl · 24/07/2022 17:02

🥝 😂😂😂😂

TempyBrennan · 24/07/2022 17:03

Hahahaha this is excellent.

of course YABU.

Luredbyapomegranate · 24/07/2022 17:04

You are overreacting - it’s him that’s going to look like a kiwi fruit.

Just tell him it looks shite and go to a barber next time.

Haircuts don’t count as playing away - don’t be mad.
