Husband getting haircut from another woman

Purplehair22 · 24/07/2022 16:02

Am I losing my mind over nothing or did he cross a line?
My husband spent the night at his brothers house and the next day came home with a new haircut (terrible buzz cut, one length all the way round, looks like a kiwi fruit).
I asked him who did it and he said it was his brothers girlfriend. She’s no hairdresser. The haircuts I’ve given him in the past were just as bad but at least I did them. I’ve always said she’s a little too friendly with my husband. A bit of a pick me girl. He’s never seen it and never shown any interest during family gatherings.
I feel betrayed. I feel embarrassed. Surely she thought that she’s better than me and that I’m a useless wife that can’t even cut my husbands hair?! She’s a nice girl and we get on but I feel like that kind of stuff should be done by me or the hairdresser. No one else. Maybe his mum if push comes to shove. Why not go to the barber or ask me? Why ask her? I’m so upset and he’s saying I’m overreacting.

What is a 'pick me girl'?

Woman who panders to men.
You know, yeah I drink beer with da boyz, ha hah ha porn is the best, touchy-feely, laughs at sexust jokes etc.

This wouldn't bother me, and I'm not being all 'cool wife'!

My husband would just think 'free haircut'. I'd think 'great, one less thing for me to do'.

Yes that would be me as well.

Lovemusic33 · 24/07/2022 17:05

Men get their hair cut by women all the time without having sex with them 😉. Sometimes I have a male cut my hair, I don’t have a orgasm when he touches my head.

Blossomtoes · 24/07/2022 17:05

Betrayed? Oh please. 😂

Ttcjourney2022 · 24/07/2022 17:08

If it helps…he was probably thinking of you the whole time when she was doing it to him.

👀

What a weird thing to be upset about?!

I am a wife who can't 'even' cut my husband's hair. I did a shit job over lockdown. I don't see this as some sort of failure on my part. It wasn't in the wife handbook after all.

Same here.

is there something else going on op? Is there something really bothering/worrying you rather than your dh getting a haircut?

EmeraldShamrock1 · 24/07/2022 17:12

I'd be embarrassed by your reaction to the situation.

pictish · 24/07/2022 17:14

Are you a little bit jealous of your bil’s gf? When you say she’s a ‘pick me’ girl do you mean she’s confident and vivacious?
Seems a silly thing to be territorial over otherwise.

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 24/07/2022 17:15

I refuse to believe anyone can be this ridiculous.

thelastgreatdynasty · 24/07/2022 17:16

Totally over the top reaction

blebbleb · 24/07/2022 17:16

Wow. Ridiculous

savemeagin · 24/07/2022 17:17

Christ alive - I must be a right whore then cause I've cut loads of mens hair and I'm no hairdresser, I just happen to be ok with hair trimmers and scissors. Next time I cut hair - I must remember to get DWs written approval beforehand.

Complete over reaction on your behalf. You must know this.

RobertsRadio · 24/07/2022 17:18

As long as she didn't shave his pubes as the same time, this wouldn't worry me, but I would let him know that he looks like. Kiwi fruit 😀

Zone2NorthLondon · 24/07/2022 17:19

Get your ducks in a row.
Photocopy the kids passport and birth certificates.
Book a free consultation with a solicitor
Hes definitely shagging her, starts with hair next it’ll be arse action

TooBigForMyBoots · 24/07/2022 16:47

I get you @Purplehair22. My ExH let a nurse squeeze a spot on his back. There was no need! He wasn't seeing her for the spot.

I left him a few months later. Get your ducks in a row and LTB.

He asked a HCP to relieve him of a, presumably annoying/painful spot, whilst he was at an appointment and you think it was a huge issue? Confused

JamSandwich89 · 24/07/2022 17:20

I don't even know what to say to this because it's so batshit 😬 Well actually, my main thought is my DH shaves his own head. Guess I'm a bad wife for never having to help? 🤷😂

SocksAndTheCity · 24/07/2022 16:06

What is a 'pick me girl'?

Just another term used by women to shit on other women. 🙄 Because its not possible for women to like masculine things. Therefore they must be doing it to steal all the men. It's mostly insecure women who use it.

ShandaLear · 24/07/2022 17:22

Did she cut it with her fanjo?

Zone2NorthLondon · 24/07/2022 17:23

ShandaLear · 24/07/2022 17:22

Did she cut it with her fanjo?

I bet she did. Hussy

Palamon · 24/07/2022 17:24

She gave him a haircut ffs not a blow-job.

Are you always so jealous?

SlashBeef · 24/07/2022 17:26

If this is your reaction to a haircut I'm kinda curious to know how you'd react to something that's actually bad. God forbid she gives him a hug. You'll burst into flames!

ThirtyThreeTrees · 24/07/2022 17:28

You are overreacting massively.

Do you really think that she decided to style him like a kiwi fruit to make him unattractive to all other women, including his wife?

You really need to get your jealousy under control as if you are reacting like this to something so minor, it's going to cause massive issues in your marraige.

Is your self esteem that low? Why? How can you rebuild it? Focus on that rather than anything else.

Fatarseflanagan09 · 24/07/2022 17:31

Betrayed and embarrassed because someone else cut his hair, does he have to have permission from you for that, it’s not your hair, you don’t own it, I’ve heard some things but that takes the biscuit, do you wipe his bum as well?

JePréfèreLesChiens · 24/07/2022 17:33

If my partner was aware that I thought a woman was was a bit too friendly with him, he wouldn’t get a haircut from them out of respect for me and for him. He wouldn’t want to look shit either so won’t even let me cut his hair. 😂
