I messaged a guy a while ago on a dating app. I said 'Hi. how are you? :)'. He responded 'good u'. I unmatched him. Some people thought I was harsh for unlatching him, but I found his reply low effort and rude.

Have you actually done online dating? His poor response was a perfect response to her poor message. 'Hi, how are you' is lame as fuck and doesn't incite much of a reply!

I also unmatched someone for asking me to play truth or dare with sexual question. I guess everyone would think I was rude and judgemental for that too

I wouldn't of responded to 'good,u' pathetic response. You even put a smiley face ffs. You've dodged a bullet and clearly people on here have no standards. Bare minimum effort is unattractive. Your message seemed friendly. Ignore the harsh critics on here, nothing better to do.

If someone made effort with their messages and seemed kind, I would not care about their grammar and spelling. I would not mind if a guy messaged me saying 'Hi, how are you?' but I would not like it if he just messaged saying 'hi'
