The great Eggsperiment taking place on 19th July/ Aka EGG WARS

Following on from my patio egg experiment. I have set up this thread ready for us all to take part in on 19th July.

Pick your surface and splat your egg between 10am - 6pm.

Let's do our egg science and save humanity.

I will be setting up my egg out front (as it is hotter than my back garden) on foil tomorrow.

I’m so up for doing this on Tues. south facing garden and garden here. It always feels significantly hotter on the patio than elsewhere in the garden. Will have a think about how I’m going to do it

OH is from Arizona and we used to make cookies in the car when it was 40C. Baking sheet on the dashboard and cookies on that below the front windscreen.

If you bake the flour a bit so it's not raw you can eat the result even if its still very dough like - but we make pretty successful cookies quite a lot!

This was about 1hr into our 2014 attempt in 43C.

Oil spray I think is my in.get it out there as soon as possible.then as the title post says put the egg in at the said time of 10am.

Awesome, I'm sure my 4 yr old will be up for it!

Ha! We tried this a few years back, cracked an egg on the roof of the car. It set like cement and took ages to chip off.

This is what worries me TBH.

Would an egg on foil on the car still cause any damage? Will DH notice if I try on his car?

I'm removing my egg from the fridge and I will leave it out at room temperature ready for today's experiment.

They are supposed to be kept in the cupboard

Our eggs are kept in the fridge in the little egg tray section in the door.

You can do either. Some keep them in the fridge, others not.

I have been known to dabble with both depending on what space I have available where at what time.

Not going to lie - I think I'm more tempted by the cookie experiment than the egg now!

The oil is in the pan that was put out last night on the paving slab.

Oooh @Blondeshavemorefun your egg in pan looks like it is cooking already!

They are supposed to be kept at an even temperature - and the easiest way to do that in a modern kitchen is in the fridge. They also keep for longer in the fridge.

I think we are supposed to get to 'only' 31° here, so I'll be watching but not joining in.
