Because if he clings on until the next GE, he'll be completely unelectable and we'll be rid of the Tories.

I'm hoping he digs his heels in just like he always has, even though by rights he should be fucking off with his tail between his legs.

It's a complete fallacy that all the parties are as bad as each other. It's also an obvious attempt to distract from the fact that BORIS is in trouble atm - he has lost the faith of his party; Tory voters and the country. All the 'whataboutery' on here doesn't change that.

Boris has overseen a government that is responsible for one of the highest death rates in peacetime. He has overseen the trashing of the NHS; the awarding of billions of pounds worth of contracts to his party's cronies; a rise in the number of children living in poverty; one of the largest income gaps in the Western world. He has tried to remove any standards for public office. He has lied. He has broken the law. He has protected sex pests and been caught having sex at work by a colleague. He has cheated on his wives; denied his DCs and tried to give jobs and contracts for sex. He has no redeeming features.

And the Tories on here are treading a very dangerous path if they're trying to pretend Boris is fine and represents their party well because no real Tory with conservative values would stand behind him. The Tory party members don't support Boris. Which rather begs the question who are the posters on here pretending Boris is anything but a liability? Because they're not Tories.

This isn't a GE. It doesn't matter what any of the other parties are like. The Tories need to get rid of BJ and put in a new leader. Labour needs to stop its student politics/ gender id bullshit; get rid of KS and make themselves electable again. Then by the time we do have the next GE maybe, just maybe, we'll all have someone to vote for.

'I agree though, Johnson knows what a woman is. They are people you fuck and leave (with bonus points for leaving whilst they are being treated for cancer).'

Her diagnosis came a year after their divorce announcement but don't let that stop your inaccurate froth.

Hi @JaniieJones 🤗

The reason for the dire economic situation in 2010 was a global economic crisis emanating from the US

And don't you think there has also been a few global 'dire situations' for the last couple of years? Or is it only the Conservative's fault when it suits you

You mean the global economic crisis that’s put the cost of fuel through the roof? The one which has pushed prices higher in the UK than any other European country? The one that puts the UK growth rate the lowest in the G7? Only Russia is doing worse - hardly an example of fiscal excellence.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 12:11

Reports coming in that the 1922 Committee is now going to vote tonight on changing its rules so they don't have to wait a year from the last no confidence vote to do the next one. Ie. Johnson's fucked.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 12:12

'Boris has overseen a government that is responsible for one of the highest death rates in peacetime.'

This is just not true. Widely reported by the rabid msm in 2020 but they have been strangely quiet on it when we now know it is bollocks.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 12:13

Why are you saying hi claudineclare? Grin

No no it's was his ex wife's 'line'.

Inconvenient but true, some mumsnetters fave 'BJ was getting a BJ while his wife battled cancer!' is just rubbish. They'd been separated a year.

Somethingneedstochange · 06/07/2022 12:17

Was nothing to do with labour the credit crunch was worldwide. Many people were in debt and declared bankrupt. All thanks to being able to make multiple massive purchases on credit cards so easily.

Instead of just saving up and waiting until they could afford it. The banker's were laughing all the way they the bank. While the economy worldwide was up s*it creek.

ClaudineClare · 06/07/2022 12:17

Johnson only just managing to keep a lid on his true self in PMQs.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 12:19

Oh Bunter Blackford calling for him to resiiiiiiiign. Now there's a change Grin

I think you must be watching a different PMQs.

ClaudineClare · 06/07/2022 12:21

"But Corbyn" Johnson is desperate. A pathetic spectacle indeed.

Agreed. A lot of the House are laughing at him, including a good few from his own party.

If that happens, PM Johnson should launch a legal challenge.🤭

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 12:25

Obviously there was no way Johnson could have looked good in this PMQs but amused chest-thumping was the worst persona to adopt. His cabinet are playing the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme in their heads on a loop.

He's wiping the floor with Johnson big time.

Whoever wrote the bit about ...'sexual assault is not about sex, it's about power, and that power was given to him (Pincher) by Boris Johnson'... deserves a pay rise.

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/07/2022 12:23

I'd absolutely love to see him embarrass himself further by doing that, but sadly I don't think the 1922 'rules' amount to much more than a gentleman's agreement.

Booklover3 · 06/07/2022 12:34

If Boris was in any other profession he would have been long sacked by now.

This has gone on for too long really. The only reason he’s still there is because Covid saved him. If we hadn’t had Covid then his ineffectiveness and incompetence would have been highlighted much, much earlier with no global events to hide behind.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 12:36

I'll say this for Johnson: his apparent lack of concern at being in a room full of colleagues who hate him is tantamount to a superpower. Or maybe sociopathy. Who can tell.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 12:40

'A lot of the House are laughing at him'

It's all so forced and pantomime like all the ott 'ha ha HA!'.

Funny how snp are so fussy about sexual misconduct unless it's in their own party.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 12:41

Serial quitter Sajid having a pity party now.

Roussette · 06/07/2022 12:45

If you can't listen to this Janiie and take something from this, there is no hope for you.
