To apply athletes foot cream to labia?

420Bruh · 17/06/2022 21:26

Sorry for terrible overshare but what else is the internet for.

I am absolutely driven mad by thrush. I have no yoghurt in the house bar Frubes (although I suppose easy internal application? But I would worry about the sugar). I have no money until payday, 8 squirmy scratchy fanny abrading days away.

What I do have is two kinds of athletes foot cream? Surely one fungicide is much like another?

I buy athletes foot cream from Asda for thrush.
Works fine and cheaper.

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 17/06/2022 22:48

Christ, can you not just ask a mate for help?

ThisTastesSalty · 17/06/2022 22:48

Fuck me masterchuff. I rarely lol but that got me

OP, it's obviously bad. I'd probably try a few things at once tbh. Try a thin film of the athletes foot cream, then a clove of garlic, a quenelle of organic coconut oil, a hefty shake of bicarb of soda and three Frubes.

Let us know. Don't order a takeaway.

All said with a Nigella style pout in a negligée 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hope you are feeling better soon OP. Thrush is vile.

IdiotCreatures · 17/06/2022 22:53

A) used the stuff with a foot on the packet when in Portugal and for a long time after we returned

B) Sexual health clinic has given me the pessaries plus cream before.

NortieTortie · 17/06/2022 22:53

Fine to control the symptoms but I don't think it'll treat it?

Can you get Paypal credit on eBay, some pharmacies have shops on there!

LibrariesGiveUsPower · 17/06/2022 22:55

For clarification yogurt needs to be live yogurt and not filler with sugar. Otherwise you’ll make it worse.

if desperate ice cubes well rapped up can be soothing. Make sure you’re wearing cotton pants and no bubble bath.

despondentatwork · 17/06/2022 22:56

In NI, I'm fairly sure that thrush treatment is free on Minor Ailment's scheme in Pharmacies. Maybe call a pharmacy in the morning and see? Could get the Fluconazole tablet which is way more effective IMO.

Pumasonsatsumas · 17/06/2022 22:57

Clotrimazole would be fine I'd have thought. Definitely used it for rashes elsewhere. Suggest not putting it right up inside though, or is that where you're itching?

NotMeekNotObedient · 17/06/2022 23:02

Totally fine!

If you can withstand it, try crushing 3/4 raw garlic cloves, mix with a teaspoon of honey and down it. Totally vile but did the trick for me.

I don't know if I could in all good conscience then put them in a packed lunch to be honest. Protective clingfilm or not.

😂

Mistlewoeandwhine · 17/06/2022 23:04

I’ve done it myself before now. Fanny is still in one piece.

Tanith · 17/06/2022 23:12

Any minute now, someone's going to suggest Vicks Vapour Rub...

TitsInAbsentia · 17/06/2022 22:45

You're gonna ace the invention test on Masterchuff!

😂

Treetophouse · 17/06/2022 23:17

Depending where you live if UK based you can get free treatments via the minor ailments scheme. Might be worth speaking to your pharmacy?

Were you prescribed in UK? I get free prescriptions but I was thinking it would come under the list of stuff they don't prescribe any more as it's available OTC.

Interested parties may be pleased to know that all labia remain attached and the itching is very much reduced.

Brief moment of panic when i saw blood in the toilet but actually just got my period, to accompany the thrush and mastitis. Thread has been very cheering though ❤️

Thanks all for salad dressing recipes but I will not be putting tea tree oil or garlic in my vagina. An incident with a whisky bottle while at university has made me rather wary.

It's worth checking your diet longer term, too - too many sugary carbs tend to trigger an outbreak in me.

BigRon40 · 17/06/2022 22:14

i know this sounds savage but salt will cut the itching. Dilute as little as you can stand and it does sting but it works and is very cheap. Have a bath ready to sit in when you need to wash it off. It has felled thrush in its tracks for me. Good luck

How do you get the salt up on there. I'm imagining an eye bath and some yoga but there must be an easier way. Do need a backup plan for when the cream runs out!

Wondered what the background was in your photo was @420Bruh

Your sofa is rather, um, skin-toned Wink

LunaMuffinTop · 17/06/2022 23:23

@420Bruh It’s fine to use what you have on your bits thrush and athlete’s foot are fungal so the cream you have will help I have the 2% cream and did google it yesterday to see if I could use it on my feet and it’s safe to be used on both areas. Hope your thrush goes away soon it’s bloody irritating. Xx Flowers

😂 You know I had it against my thigh but I was worried my knee joint made suggestive folds!

Good god, what a load of crap advice on this thread.

If you're desperate OP use the foot cream. It's the same active ingredient, it's actually at a lower concentration than the thrush cream, so it may not be as effective, but it's certainly better than an itchy fanny.

wheresmyradio · 17/06/2022 23:28

I've used it til I could get some proper stuff. Only 1% so doesn't really work too well but better than nothing
