Page 10 | Fuming at this guy in the supermarket

I was in the supermarket this evening and I went to pick up a bottle of fabric conditioner. It was from a good brand and very cheap on offer. A big bottle for a cheap price. It was also the last one of that particular fragrance on the shelf. As I reached out to take it from the shelf, I had almost got it when a guy came by the side of me and grabbed it. He then went over to a girl who I presume was his girlfriend and gave it to her. Presumably, she has asked him to get it for her. I was absolutely fuming. I picked my jaw up off the floor said 'You fucking cunt' and walked off. AIBU for saying that?

Yanbu. Not remotely over the top. He was a selfish cunt grabbing something that you were already reaching for. You were correct to call him a fucking cunt. All those think the OP shouldn’t have said this - society would be a lot worse if people were allowed to get away with this kind of shitty behaviour - they would think it was ok and then it would escalate. Where would it end? Shoving an old lady to get the last seat on a bus?

Exactly my point! Hopefully he will think twice in the future before doing that to someone else.

Just to say - because everyone is saying you overreacted - I TOTALLY would have done the same as you, and frequently do. Some old guy let the door slam behind him ( didn’t hold it open ) and I softly mouthed ‘cunt’ but I prefer to leave them wondering if I’d said it or not, mostly because I’d lose in a fight. :) I’m fuming for you !!!

Nope not unreasonable at all, total cunt. A woman had the last Tescos finest lasagne just as I was thinking about having it on Saturday! I didn't call her a cunt but she did kind of barge in to the gap. My girlfriend laughed as she said 'To slow, I could see you had your eye on it! " I think I said 'fucking fat ass" but out of ear shot😆

I wouldn’t have been raging, because I could never in a million years bring myself to give a flying fuck what scent my fabric softener is. If I ever become someone who cares about fabric softener varieties I shall ask DP to send me to Dignitas.

ime most folk have zero awareness of whats going around them at the best of times, much less in a supermarket.

The aisle was empty. I had already seen the aisle was empty. The kid would have had to have moved at the speed of light to have been right behind me.

Perhaps he wouldn't like someone calling him that after he was rude to them. He might be worried some people would do a lot worse. If he was rude to me like that, then I have no doubt he would have been rude to others in different situations.
