Spineless MPs….then he’ll limp along doing even more attention seeking stunts.

If that's an attempt at satire then you've failed miserably.
If you actually believe it then I suggest you look up critical thinking.
@Swayingpalmtrees

I couldn't give a stuff which side of the brexit debate the prime minister was on. I just want someone honest, decent, trustworthy who puts the country and its people at the heart of its policies, not basing policies around how rich they can make themselves and their mates.

The Conservative party has shown us who they are and what they stand for(clue, none of the above) Believe them.

Cornettoninja · 07/06/2022 10:17

Can you tell us one or two things that Boris has ever managed to deliver in his lifetime

ohoh me! At least three legal judgements he/his cabinet broke the law! proroguing parliament illegally, illegally sending care homes residents back without testing for covid and shit parties.

jgw1 · 07/06/2022 10:12

Isn't Boris a Remainer who seeks the break up of the UK?

That would be one explanation for some of the stuff he's done.

AppleandRhubarbTart · 07/06/2022 10:20

There are other rational explanations?

Blossomtoes · 07/06/2022 10:28

Reeking of desperation @Swayingpalmtrees. You’ll have to do better than that.

My bloke, who’s a Tory party member and a stereotypical example of its bedrock support, is aching to get rid of Johnson. Why? Because he can’t stand the lies, the disrepute he’s bringing to the party, the embarrassment and the lack of integrity. He’s got Tory running through him like a stick of rock so trust me when I tell you that if his support has gone, things are about as bad as they can get.

Cornettoninja · 07/06/2022 10:32

syphillis?

mbosnz · 07/06/2022 10:32

Goodness, it took a while to get the revised hymn sheet out to the party faithful, didn't it? Although I don't envy the poor bastard trying to write it. . .

The conservative party faithful are quite peeved with all the lies and lack of integrity.

The Boris' party faithful are willing to take everything down to keep their places and their idol in place.

Hawkins001 · 06/06/2022 23:30

Why do you celebrate the British public and monarchy being constantly lied to?

Because if the public knew the whole truth about various events, and historical events, could they really handle the truth, or even respond in a rational manner ?

Can you imagine the shenanigans we don't yet know about PM Johnson? He's probably sold off Trident and the Crown Jewels.

I'm enjoying watching him fuck the Conservative party as hard as he is fucking the country. Strap yourselves in, we've got Interesting Times ahead folks.😆😆😆

ncerer · 07/06/2022 11:09

Well I'm a 'Remainer' and I have no qualms whatsoever that I can't wait to see the back of him. Not just BJ - the disgusting lot of them who have ruined the U.K.

He is a vile man who can't even be honest about how many children he has.

He is 100% career-driven and nothing more.

He made a big scene about locking himself away for days with advisors while he decided whether backing the Leave or Remain campaign would be better for his career.

Pushed a Leave campaign based on lies and designed to appeal to the most desperate in society and xenophobes.

Then strangely, after "Taking back Control," shirked away from standing for PM after DC resigned. This would not be good timing for his career. He knew Brexit would be a shit show and left TM with the hapless task of dealing with the irretrievable mess.

Voted against TM's Brexit deal. Then, when the time suited him, ran as leader; brought back the exact same deal and branded it "Oven ready,"

In cahoots with Cummings all the way - until it backfired on them both.

Lied about reasons to prorogue Parliament. Lied to the Queen.

Is a national embarrassment wherever he goes.

Claims credit for the Covid vaccines - er no, the credit is down to the scientists and they would have developed that bacon EC regardless of who was in govt.

Clsims credit for the vaccine rollout - et yes, because at the time, our Covid cases were the highest in the world so we had no choice but to roll it out sharpish.

Smoke and mirrors about Northern Ireland trade arrangements post Brexit and threats to break international law.

Propped up by a combo of "yes men" and equally vile individuals in the Cabinet.

The worst govt this country has ever seen. and that without Partygate.

What has anyone gained from Brexit?

Alexandra2001 · 07/06/2022 11:19

@ncerer Sums it all up.

I'd add he backed the aims of Putin all the way by supporting Brexit, for that reason alone he should go.

jgw1 · 07/06/2022 10:21

No, brought back a worse deal branded as Oven ready. One which put a border down the Irish Sea which May would never have done.

Yes May's deal was crap but far better than his deal. MPs should have voted for her deal while they had the chance.

I reckon there's more to be revealed about party gate, its not over yet. My guess is there's far more damming evidence footage/evidence. If Last night's vote didn't get rid of the PM then more evidence will be released. Then he'll be properly toast, the conservatives can't support him indefinitely. This is Johnson in a very public last chance saloon, one more fuck up and he's out.

The government basically threw a load of civil servants under the bus with the parties. They attended events that they were told would be legal as they were work related, then some of them cooperated with police and ended up getting fined for their troubles. That doesn't bode well for Johnson and co should they be questioned as part of an enquiry.

There are lots of dark hints on Twitter about lockdown parties at Chequers - basically anyone and everyone gathering there during the first lockdown knowing the police would turn a blind eye and the papers couldn’t get in. Carrie apparently had a pretty different lockdown maternity leave to the rest of us, with all her mates round on a regular basis.

Stanley Johnson also apparently didn’t pay much attention to the rules, but he isn’t in government so while it paints a picture of that whole boorish family, it won’t affect Bozo.

Whether anyone has any evidence to prove it I don’t know - presumably Carrie’s mates have all the WhatsApp’s and texts, but her mates seem to actually stick by her, unlike Boris’s sidekicks.

Here are some of the Chequers “hints”:

From the Times article:

"She had been accused of the “inappropriate handling of a personal item” belonging to Johnson that was found in his Chequers bathroom."

What's the betting he annoyed her so much that she used his toothbrush to clean the toilet?

For those speculating about BJ's appearance during his TV interview ,I think he's got hay fever .Probably needs an evening dose of AH as well as a morning one .

I thoroughly dislike the man but really doubt he'd appear on prime time TV coked up .

The pupils of his eyes were really big. That's not normally a hay fever symptom, is it? To say nothing of the somewhat manic way of talking.

I'm going to say either dildo or a wrap of coke.

OrangeBagel · 08/06/2022 08:07

I’m intrigued about what Boris would have to do to lose the confidence of the 211.

Poo on the Downing Street rug?

Kick a dog?

Propose re-joining the European Union?

Porcupineintherough · 08/06/2022 08:09

@OrangeBagel stop the gravy train?

I actually think you're right about the pupils of his eyes ,they do look considerably larger than in other interviews .Manic delivery ,pretty standard I think.
