Spineless MPs….then he’ll limp along doing even more attention seeking stunts.

OP posts:
Peregrina · 06/06/2022 20:56

4 minutes to go.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 06/06/2022 21:02

He's won

Saucery · 06/06/2022 21:02

<boo> <hiss>

Jajana · 06/06/2022 21:02

He’s staying!

He’s staying!

For now...

L1ttledrummergirl · 06/06/2022 21:03

211 absolute scum.

Peregrina · 06/06/2022 21:03

148 against
A bad result. Watch the spin going on.

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2022 21:04

I knew he wouldn't be going anywhere
They are all spineless.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/06/2022 21:04

Far more against than I was expecting. He won’t be able to spin his way out of this easily.

theworldhas · 06/06/2022 21:04

40%+ of Tory MPs have no confidence in him. He’s done.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/06/2022 21:05

Labour will be happy with that. A worse confidence vote than Theresa May’s.

Blossomtoes · 06/06/2022 21:05

He’s a dead man walking. The Tories have just thrown the next election.

Dreikanter · 06/06/2022 21:05

donquixotedelamancha · 06/06/2022 20:46

Who on earth could take his place ? I honestly don’t know.

I took a big poo earlier. I reckon that would do a better job.

A better jobbie?

SeaDogs · 06/06/2022 21:05

From Tim Shipman on Twitter-

“CUT OUT AND KEEP: I've been crunching numbers in case of a vote of no-confidence to compare results
If the rebels get:
121 votes: Johnson will have done as badly % wise as John Major in 1995
133 votes: Worse than May in 2018
147 votes: Worse than Thatcher v Heseltine in 1990”

He’s done.

Cornettoninja · 06/06/2022 21:06

Jajana · 06/06/2022 21:02

He’s staying!

This is politics, it’s never that simple. It only takes 40 MP’s to vote against him to block legislation.

for the third time tonight - in position but not in power. He’s impotent.

Scautish · 06/06/2022 21:06

the spin will start…….

theworldhas · 06/06/2022 21:06

Seriously he’s toast with that figure. Absolutely no way he can lead them into another election with almost half his Party against him. The death by a 1000 cuts over the next six months will be fun to watch.

carefullycourageous · 06/06/2022 21:07

I can't believe I have to wait THREE WEEKS for the by-elections!!

That was a very bad result for Johnson.

'We draw a line and move on' says Zahawi - dream on!

Bumpsadaisie · 06/06/2022 21:07

They're just playing a long game aren't they - letting him take the fail at the next GE - and saving any fresh new leader to fight the GE following that.

pointythings · 06/06/2022 21:08

This is exactly the result I wanted - lots of division in the ranks and a damaged Tory PM. Excellent.

Cornettoninja · 06/06/2022 21:08

Scautish · 06/06/2022 21:06

the spin will start…….

Javid has already started.

CapYourDoff · 06/06/2022 21:08

All I can say is that the Tories deserve him.

But he is a dead man walking just the same. For how long though, that is the question.

Apologies - Nadhim Zahawi - DP has just been ranting about the tube strikes Blush
