Booing Boris. AIBU to say he deserved it?

I'm not a boo-er, it doesn't come naturally to me. Yet thinking of the photo of the queen, alone, at her husband's funeral contrasted with his snivelling 'apology' for tolerating depraved behaviour in his workplace together with his other contemptuous behaviour over the course of parliament, I'd have found it hard to resist. His presence just seems like adding more insult to injury.

Those who hate him, really really hate him because he has such a big support and yes, brexit did happen, and your remain vote plus 2+ years of remoaning didn't pay off..but okay we'll just forever bang on about parties, despite the fact that 90% of those people moaning about it also had their own gatherings at home.. any excuse, honestly..

I had no gatherings at home or outside. I was too busy working my ass off in the NHS.

Keep your totally inaccurate and bollocks comments to yourself.

Especially for Nadine Dorries, a poll

Was Boris Johnson greeted with booing or cheering?

Yes, but everyone knows that twitter is just a left wing plot of remainer royalists.

@hattie43 I would LOVE to see your evidence about "most of the country being sick of party gate" Hmm - sick of his lies and lack of morals more like. He deserved every boo.

Here is some evidence that people are sick of if all.

Nobody deserves to be booed, and it's rather juvenile behaviour.

You genuinely think Boris didn't deserve that? You think the "people" should be respectful and not shown their disdain whilst he was partying and some of them were leaving their dying relatives on their own.

You get respect, you need to earn it!

I just think the moaning has become a hobby for some people. It must be so tiring.. you need to move on..

I'll move on when that piece of crap moves out of no 10.

ChrisReasBathEggs · 04/06/2022 08:15

I thought it was hilarious. I think people were doing it due to his treatment of the Queen as well as the general public. It was well-timed.

I note that this thread has turned from people being in total agreement to lots of posts stating the 'let's get in with the job' shite. 🤖The tory party could deal with both partygate and the cost of living crisis. It is their job to deal with both, just none of them actually want to do their job.

They have lost their middle class 'Waitrose woman' vote. They need to accept it now. Take that back to Tory HQ please.

MigsandTiggs · 04/06/2022 08:22

I just saw a tweet suggesting we boo Boris every Thursday at 7pm!😂

mum2jakie · 04/06/2022 08:26

Lol at the Tory bots trying to tell us that all the cool kids have 'moved on' and 'got over it' when the boos and the stats on this thread tell a very different story!

People will only tolerate so much. Time for this national disgrace to step down or a big push from his colleagues!

I find MN interesting to watch as it is used by political bots and has been for years. You can tell how worried various factions are at any given time by the amount and type of activity seen on threads like this.

It’s not just Tory HQ, though obviously is currently. Message for Tory HQ you lost my Dad before he died earlier this year and my Stepmum is currently disgusted - that’s quite a big achievement to lose their support.

SunflowerGardens · 04/06/2022 08:58

I notice the bots haven't come back to defend Johnson, too busy on Twitter pretending there were no boos. Tory HQ would argue the sky is green if it served them to do so!

It was all SWP people!🤣

ClaudineClare · 04/06/2022 09:25

The SWP are known for staying up all night to reserve their places at royal events so it is quite plausible.

Blossomtoes · 04/06/2022 09:36

I’m dreading the next general election campaign. They’ll flood MN. I’ll start off determined not to engage with them and that resolve will last all of about ten minutes. I expect they’re already rewriting history in readiness.

TheRussianDoll · 04/06/2022 09:40

Those mentioning Weleda, there are several. Can I ask which one you’re referring to? I thought there was only one in a green tube but they must have extended the line. Thanks.

RepublicOfNarnia · 04/06/2022 09:40

@Blossomtoes I agree with you. I do wonder if Mumsnet is where they got their idea of 'Waitrose woman'. I can see how and why tbh.

TheRussianDoll · 04/06/2022 09:41

There was one during Brexit and the last election who just wore people down. Can't remember the name.

itsgettingweird · 04/06/2022 09:48

Problem is they are good at it.

So many people respond to the likes JJ and clav because they way they write is designed to get a response.

We train to train ourselves better not to bite.

I’m sure you’re right. The MN interview and the reaction to it must have been a bit of a wake up call. Interesting that they think sending bots telling us to get over it and move on might be a successful tactic.

it would be a very strange boss who didn't attend a leaving do at work

It would be a very strange boss who said that there should be no leaving dos at work and then attended one themselves.

Fixed that for you.
