And it's not the article it's certain statements in it. Gosh.

JD will win, no question.

ENoeuf · 27/05/2022 14:30

'She never thought she would have to face her abuser'
Wrong phrase there!

Nice hair piece AH.

Elaine does not believe AH.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 14:57

Her whole team are mesmirised! By Camille.

Her whole team are mesmirised! By Camille.

She seems to have brains and beauty. She's very good at her job.

I'm Team JD. I have never believed AH.

After I escaped my ex, 20 years ago, I needed a restraining order. Well it was called an injunction (uk).
He bought a knife to my parents house where I was staying with my 2 year old daughter (he is the sperm donor). He shoved it through the brass letterbox and rattled it around. Then he went round the back and jumped over the 7ft fence. Said he was going to smash the window and kill me. (Police were on their way and they caught him).
The last words he said to me were he would kill me whether it took weeks or months or years. I never reported any of the things he did to me in the relationship to the police.
I have lived in fear of him coming to get me every single day.
Last year his partner (of 14 years) wanted to split from him and kicked him out. A few weeks later he brutally murdered her.
Stabbed and strangled. The whole thing was caught on bodycam and CCTV that she had installed a few days before.
He was sentenced in January to 29 years. Took the jury just 30 minutes of deliberation.
The only other thing on his criminal record was possession of an offensive weapon in 2002...

I feel the need to tell some of my story because I don't know how else to explain.
It is completely inconceivable in my mind, that she claimed to be 'in fear of her life' and then chose to break the restraining order and be alone with him.
I cannot even fathom in my head, how she could do that if she really was so scared he would kill her.

It's mindblowing to me.

I’m very sorry to hear it and particularly sorry for the poor woman who lost her life.

Something being inconceivable to you has no bearing on its actual incidence. Taking out restraining orders then ignoring them is fairly common, even where the victim has been hospitalised or there has been violence against the children. It really depends on the relationship and the personalities involved. It can be for many different reasons.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:14

Poor JD

The fact he is a man, that this is causing such controversy, is hideous.

ENoeuf · 27/05/2022 15:14

I echo that. It happens.
Now setting the scene for how nice he is.

'He did his best to live a quiet life'

😂😂😂😂

AH smirking again.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:20

He is good, this one.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:26

It is me and you @ENoeuf 😂

ENoeuf · 27/05/2022 15:27

Last one out switches the lights off 😂

I'm here but 40 minutes behind, I'm so in love with Camille 😆

Boulshired · 27/05/2022 15:28

It was the line from camilla that to not believe one incident, can you believe any. Not her exact words. Unfortunately I cannot believe the extreme sexual assault. I don’t believe that happened when she said he did it in Australia.

ENoeuf · 27/05/2022 15:28

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:20

He is good, this one.

I prefer him to Camille. He comes across quite sensible and starlight forward whereas she can stray into mean girl territory. Equally Elaine seems too dithery whereas Rottenborn feels very on it.

But is that a jury instruction or just a suggestion? I don't recall the judge saying you believe every word or not. Because that works both ways surely?

OP posts:
adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:32

AH scribbling on post its. Why? It is over AH. People believe you or they do not.

I do not.

ENoeuf · 27/05/2022 15:37

They should both win and order £1 each

OP posts:
adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:39

Yes, her $10, him $1 IMO.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:40

Elaine is practically nodding!

minou123 · 27/05/2022 15:45

I am here, just engrossed listening to the jury instructions and closing statements.

So far, JD team are very good.

But I think AH team will be good at well.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 15:47

Oh my! The male lawyer really nearly cried.

I had to put on my HRT gel.
