Part 3 AIBU to wonder why so many people assume Johnny Depp is the good guy and Amber Heard is the villain

Following on from parts 1 and 2
Trial has gone 'dark' this week as the Judge is at a conference so it's going to be quiet on that front and I expect this thread will run slower than the previous two, however, there is still plenty of material and evidence from the last three weeks that we can 'cross examine'.

Any and all opinions welcome.

@Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious sort of but a lot of the exhibits were objected to so couldn't be used. There's a list of things both sides wanted to be excluded

That is my favourite moment tbh despite this being a terrible case for both sides. A moment of hilarity for me.

But that makes absolutely no sense as she hadn't seen/heard the story from Amber either directly or indirectly. The whole thing was confidential up until Amber spoke about it in this recent trial, and the stories are nothing alike anyway!

She admitted under oath that she had not read the parts that were confidential and pertained to the sexual abuse.

@Aspiringmatriarch I don't understand what made her say that she used her story then. I thought she heard at least some resemblence to her story, really weird

This was concerning an accusation Amber submitted to the U.K. trial. Kate James had been shown Ambers submissions by Depps team.

Is the lawyer suggesting it's staged? The table picture?

And she’s just been caught lying about the charity payments on Dutch TV in 2018.

She had the money for 13 months before Depp sued her. She could have paid it at any point to those charities as she had promised to do.

@ENoeuf Yes I think that was the angle she was going down regards it being staged.

Did you see how Amber started to get angry at the lawyer? She seems to think pledge and donate mean the same thing.

I'm at that bit now - who gets consisted over pledge v donation? They are on tax breaks now , it's covering a lot of ground

I honestly don’t know what to think about all of that. Think I’ll give SM a miss as I don’t think it’s going to be good. I think Amber needed the break as she was getting frustrated. All the missing photos must be the late evidence or the evidence that cannot be verified.

I thought that was really clever actually, the lack of ash and the clean table until she started talking about residue and then she lost me. That seemed unlikely.

Yes, apparently Amber thinks that it’s like when you buy a house. Or maybe she was hoping that Elon would pay it off for her.

So she has magic make up that covers a split lip, two black eyes, partial scalping and a bruised jaw. And she thinks that donations money just means that you say you will but you don’t have to bother actually doing it.

Yes, I think so and I'll be interested to see if they bring up the bed photo.
Also, what is it about her travel mug, it's seen in a few pictures. It's almost like she is leaving a calling card!

@Legrandsophie she just testified that she got it in installements and stated that she told JD he can pay it out to charities in full so he wouldn't avoid paying it, which makes sense. He paid 200 000 on her behalf and was paying rest in installements to her. She donated over 1.2mil to ACLU and intends to donate more. What kind of"a fraud"is it to pay it in installements? She also never signed any contracts that oblige her to pay it out in full either if you will and she notified charity as well

With you there. Early on I was pro Amber. Now I'm less certain. From this I definitely think he's an unpleasant drinker/substance abuser. Also violent around things/press. Based on what's been said. But the lack of clear photos and medical evidence is bothering me and the magical skills in covering up.

Anyone notice how she only started talking about JD AFTER she got all her money? The full $7m was paid by October 2018 and she wrote the OP Ed in the December after her money was safe.

Good one. What she said and what was shown as detailed in her divorce documents are two different things.

She has paid $900,000 in total. $200,000 was paid by Depp directly to each charity in her name. Depp’s lawyer has just made her read through a statement where she pretended to be surprised at the donation and made a claim that he had withheld money from the charities.

The truth is that the $200,000 was the first instalment, as agreed by both their lawyers, to the charities Amber chose. She was given the rest direct and only passed on $700,000.

The reason this is important is that she is trying to refute the accusation that she was a gold digger and that she used fake pictures of domestic violence to drive up her divorce settlement. Then she kept $5.9 million while still telling everyone that she had already completed donations.

Goes to character- she is a proven liar. What kind of person pledges millions to charity and then quietly keeps it all while still claiming to have given it? A psychopath.

@ENoeuf i have found Amber not very credible since the UK trial, but still wanting for there to be substance as I wanted to believe her. It’s getting harder, now she’s not counting Elons donations so owes even more and paid less.

Ok that's done. Not a clue what I think really. Is depp wearing sunglasses so she can't see him? Really?

It is very convenient that both Amber’s eye witnesses to the abuse are dead.

Almost as convenient as someone’s phone falling in the North Sea!
