Part 3 AIBU to wonder why so many people assume Johnny Depp is the good guy and Amber Heard is the villain

Following on from parts 1 and 2
Trial has gone 'dark' this week as the Judge is at a conference so it's going to be quiet on that front and I expect this thread will run slower than the previous two, however, there is still plenty of material and evidence from the last three weeks that we can 'cross examine'.

Any and all opinions welcome.

You think the MeToo and TimesUp movements require likeable victims? THey went against Harvey Weinstein who is far more powerful in Hollywood than Johnny. They didn't back down even when there was opposition and their voices on their own were strong. She had been likeable enough to be a spokeperson for them so it doesn't seem they saw her as an unlikeable person.

I mean in terms of the way she's been vilified now. It's on another level. And Weinstein was a serial predator with a large number of victims, and not well liked himself.

Why do you think her friend who was active in those movements and who had been supporting her said she felt used and disappointed?

I think her feelings are perfectly valid but I don't share them.

It isn't clear to me how much they lived together. A few times on the stand, Amber referred to the penthouses as her places and that Johnny mostly lived at Sweetzer in the houses there. She talks about being really angry that Johnny was allowed into her penthouses at various times. She had penthouse 3 and 5 and it seems Johnny sometimes visited and stayed over but didn't really live there.

But they were his penthouses mid. Not hers. Her and her cronies took them over. As an abused woman, and a woman that hadn't earned any of it, she's rather entitled isn't she

He hasn't denied taking drugs and drinking. I think she found herself in a situation she couldn't handle with JD. She didn't know how to cope with his additions. His level of drugs and alcohol consumption is very different to heads and I think she found herself out of her depth. I accept it must have been scary and very difficult living with a addict. I believe he did have blackouts and episodes where he didn't know what he was doing and he smashed up places. His whole demeanour through the texts, emails and audios are as a very aggressive and unpredictable person and controlling person who was very not used to being told what to do.

Based on her testimony (I didn't hear all of his) they didn't actually live together all that much. Between tours and work commitments and having multiple houses, it doesn't seem they were living in the same house much.

She references her own place several times. Hadn't earnt it? Her agent testified she was a successful actress before she even met AH. It seems to me she worked her way up from nothing.

She wasn't anywhere near JD level, and you know that.

No she hasn't earnt 5 bloody penthouses rent free for her cling on friends (who have since dumped her)

She did have her own place - they referred to it as "Orange". I don't know if she had sold it or kept it.

However she moved into Johnny's penthouses along with family and friends and all have testified they didn't contribute financially towards it. SHe took over one penthouse just as her closet!

I think Johnny worked his way up from nothing too. Both came from difficult backgrounds.

She was an employed actor before meeting Johnny. In terms of her degree of financial success, I think it was pretty limited. Even in 2015, she was only earning about 30K per movie (outside of her blockuster ones) and most of her reported earnings in 2015 came from sponsorships (120K from Tiffany, 50k from Bugatti) - sponsors she wouldn't have had before Johnny. So before Johnny and before blockbusters and before sponsorships, I would imagine she had a pretty 'regular' salary. She had steady work but wasn't raking it in . In 2015 she earned about 5k from movie residuels which isn't a lot meaning her contract for those early movies (pre Johnny) weren't very lucrative.

Let me put it this way. If you suffered the SA and physical injuries and had the mindset to record shit and take pictures at the same time. Is this the best you could do???

She has a pretty extensive history of her own drug and alcohol use. Her friends use to post pictures of her drunk and high and with all kinds of alcohol years ago. She had glasses of wine in many pictures. I had seen some of them in a thread somewhere but can't find it. Right ok. So anyone who marries someone richer than them hasn't earnt their lifestyle? Nice. You can apply the same thing to millions of people in everyday life who marry richer people. They don't deserve that though? I think you should just say what you mean which is she is a gold digger in your view.

Oh course she wasn't at JDs level but she wasn't some nobody broke person either. Apparently JD said he didn't want her to work. Many witnesses have said this. He would look after her and her friends and her family. It was pretty bright of her to continue her own career really given what's happened.

She's not innocent with drink and drugs no, we know that. I think we can sAfely say she was no where on the same level at JD though. He was an addict. No matter what drugs she took and what they took together I can fully believe living with that level of addition of prescription and illegal drugs addiction was very hard. It has been well documented how he behaved when on a bender. She's not an angel no, but surely you can appreciate that.

I am not saying she's an angel and I think she was abusive but some of the stuff out there about her is off the scale.

Please point me to the actual evidence of this? Not done rubbish video by someone who she worked with. But actual evidence produced in the court. If that was the case I am sure JDs team would have jumped on anything like that and used it to their advantage instantly. You better get in touch and alert them to your inner knowledge.

One of them is a guy who worked on a movie with her in the pre Johnny years (2007-2008). In the clip he talks about the cocaine and drugs they did together and he says that at one point Amber told him the production team had contacted her agent about her intoxicated state. He said Amber would say she wasn't as bad as Lindsay Lohan and she got work. They were young, they all partied together, drank a lot and did cocaine - is the main idea of the clip. His basic point was to refute her testimony that she hadn't done cocaine since 18. Now you don't need to listen to their nonsense!
