Part 3 AIBU to wonder why so many people assume Johnny Depp is the good guy and Amber Heard is the villain

Following on from parts 1 and 2
Trial has gone 'dark' this week as the Judge is at a conference so it's going to be quiet on that front and I expect this thread will run slower than the previous two, however, there is still plenty of material and evidence from the last three weeks that we can 'cross examine'.

Any and all opinions welcome.

I think in the UK your private therapy records can be requested. I know my work notes can be.

So say I was working with a service user who maybe once threatened they were going to stab "Jane". I'd document in my notes, I'd also probably speak to my police intelligence officers to make them aware of the threat.

But say then my service user did go on to stab "Jane", I'd get summoned as would my notes as it would show pre-meditation to the crime.

So I think yes they could be, but it would have to be for something serious that warranted opening up your file. I doubt a libel case, but criminal possibly.

It is very concerning that in a case about defamation and reputation, that her long time agent didn't want to testify.

I'm watching on delay. What was the point of the Disney exec? Was she chosen by a lawyer or Disney? As she was supposedly representing Disney but did not know multiple answers that would surely be useful to both sets of lawyers?

Disney were subpoenaed and even threatened with sanctions if the didn’t provide all documentation. It was refused but not great for an actress to do that

I think the point of the Disney exec was to prove AH Op Ed did not impact his career.

JD claim includes that AH Op Ed caused him to lose jobs, including films with Disney.
So the point of this deposition was to prove Disney did not take the Op Ed into account when they decided not to hire JD.

Amber subpoena'd Disney and hey were not happy. She asked them to tattle on their reationsihp with Johnny over hte years, asking for "all information relating to documents and communications of any nature’ on Depp and ‘incidents of drug or alcohol use (including suspected drug or alcohol use). As well, they are seeking details about ‘any delays or tardiness caused by Mr. Depp,’ ‘any incidents of violence or abuse by Mr. Depp’ any info on imputing the actor had or ‘hiring, casting’ and ‘disagreements with the writers, directors or producers with the filming, editing and/or release of Pirates 5.'”

This was clearly Disney's way to respond to that request. We will help no one, don't drag us into court and your problems.

Nobody cotributed tha much. A lot of fairly neutral and guarded testimony. Almost 100% prerecorded depositions so not vey exciting. No bombshells or massive revelations.

That's what I thought and then I googled it and it is number 24.

Plaintiff Used 42 Hours 45 mins / left 18 hours 30 mins
Defendant Used 53 Hours 01 mins / left 8 hours 14 mins

as it was pre recorded you’d think they would of double checked and made a disclaimer. In a defamation case about her earning potential it’s a pretty hefty claim.

Thise timings are interesting, JD team have left themselves a lot if time for the rebuttal witnesses. But has AH got enough time to cross examine the rebuttal witnesses?

The judge did say that once you run out of time, she will cut them off and stop them.

I thought that, they've got a lot more time in the last week - works out at about two hours a day for AH so they need to break it up and make it punchy
