Part 3 AIBU to wonder why so many people assume Johnny Depp is the good guy and Amber Heard is the villain

Following on from parts 1 and 2
Trial has gone 'dark' this week as the Judge is at a conference so it's going to be quiet on that front and I expect this thread will run slower than the previous two, however, there is still plenty of material and evidence from the last three weeks that we can 'cross examine'.

Any and all opinions welcome.

I think you can see what threatening Disney with sanctions for not handing over all documents looks like. She did not want to be there. Not sure Disney will be calling amber anytime soon

He didn't really say much of anything. He analyzed 4 key hastags as being negative to Amber with peaks after a few key events but one of those is JusticeforJohnny and that isn't necessarily negative for Amber. He kind of toed the line but in the end didn't really contribute much either way, he is definitely wanting to come out with his professional repuation intact. Sounds like a brilliant man but it is clear his expertise is not in social media! He only looked at it statistically (mathemtaical analysis) and not within the context of how hashtages grow and shrink (viral, tweets by big accounts, long standing vs new hashtags etc)

Similar to Johnny's social media witness - the data doesn't really tell us much as social media is so vast they have to just cherry pick a few specific things to look at and each side picks things that support their position.

She had hired this guy but I don't think anyone will see him as a reputable witness. He was pretty much hired to collect dirt because he himself is a bit of a gets his hands dirty kind of guy. I would be shocked if they called him to the stand. He would be a wildcard.

Can i just say how much I respect this judge. She just seems very neutral, calm, respectful, balanced, and runs her courtroom really well.

As he was called as a AH witness I think the aim was to show negative tweets increased about AH when Adam Walderman made those statements about hoax and fraud.

The aim was about reputational damage/distress.

I'm not sure it achieved that.

But what it did achieve was the countless times the hashtags were read out to the jury.
I think this is interesting because the rules about the jury looking at social media are so strict. So the jury didnt know what is being said. But now they do!
Will the jury be influenced by the tweets "justiceforjohnny" and agree?

Don't read anything into these but this really reminded me of the comments about the judge in the Oscar pistorius case on here, until she pretty much let him off!

This is trial by jury so she has no say in what happens.

thanks to Heard's lawyers putting him on the stand...... Depps team were able to bring public opinion into the court room and say "Amber Heard is an abuser, Amber Turd" over and over again. Hilarious!

I am not a fan of people subpoena'ing (if that is a word) other people's therapists / pyshciatrists. I don't care if they choose to call their own psychiatrist / therapist that they say but to subpoena the other person's psychiatrist / therapist where there should be patient / doctor confidentiality just feels cruel.

Is the uk the same for being able to access medical records? It puts you off therapy if you find yourself having it told to the world. First Amber and now Depp, two people who both need help but maybe reluctant to get it in the future.

I really hate the AmberTurd meme and nickname. It feels so crass. I 100% believe she shit the bed as HIlda (housekeeper) and Kevin (house manager) were the primary dog walkers and dog poop cleaner uppers. Depp and Heard wheren't cleaning up dog shit. Hilda took the picture and sent it to Kevin as she knew this was not dog poop. Kevin also knew. Kevin did the majority of dog care, but they both cleaned up after the dogs in the house (doesn't sound like they were particularly trained). They 100% knew what that dog;s poop looked like - they had seen it in every form many times. And what HIlda saw on the bed was not dog poop form those two dogs - hence her text and photo to Kevin.

And while shitting the bed as a retaliation against your husband for being late to yoru party and upset because he lost millions - to me it is really crass and immature to call her Amber Turd.

So the doctor was ordered to read out to us all JDs notes? How humiliating. I thought he did well.

Its really crap isn't it? The stuff I've told my therapist! But I think she isn't allowed to repeat it without my permission or only safeguarding? I need to check in case I get sued

i think ambers problem throughout this case is she probably win (I think they may both win their cases) but to do so she loses the public even more. The therapist just felt dirty.
