Part 3 AIBU to wonder why so many people assume Johnny Depp is the good guy and Amber Heard is the villain

Following on from parts 1 and 2
Trial has gone 'dark' this week as the Judge is at a conference so it's going to be quiet on that front and I expect this thread will run slower than the previous two, however, there is still plenty of material and evidence from the last three weeks that we can 'cross examine'.

Any and all opinions welcome.

Ron Schnell. Introduced himself as a child genius. Has expertise in computer programming and hackathons. He has been brought in as an expert to show Amber's reputation suffered based on Twitter Hashtags due to the defamatory statements by Mr Walden.

Yes not an enjoyable testimony - they need it because he is the one who made statements about Amber being fake and called her story and abuse hoax. That is the foundation of her counter claim so they had to have him as a witness.

I don't think it's to do with metadata.

I think this is all to do with Amber's counterclaim. I think what they are trying to prove is Adam Walderman statement about Amber's being a hoax/fraud causes reputational damage.
They are using twitter to show this

I think the reason Amber's stories have a believable undertone is because they are mostly likely stories that did happen - just not to her. Some she flips around and tells as though she did things that Johnny actually did and says Johnny did things that she actually did(she flips their roles in her stories), some are probably things she has heard from friends or seen in movies or books or online, some are things that maybe happened in her family home growing up. She slips up a couple times when saying what Johnny did and how she responded, using me instead of you. Since they aren't her personal experience she is just describing details of others people's stories and so rather having emotions that would normally stem from personal experience, she has to create a false emotion and it is clearly not believable. She likely has been telling lies throughout her life - maybe initially for self protection and then it just became a way of life. When you lie enough, it stops feeling like lies and just feels like a natural way of telling stories.

Yes I agree. I think some of these things happened to her but not all. I think lots of them she did or said to JD and that's why she gets muffled. It's close to the truth but exaggerated. It definitely feels very unbelievable. Especially the bit which JDs lawyer questioned her on, the sequence of events in Australia. If he cut his finger off first it's highly unlikely he was still able to hold her down by the neck and Rape her with a bottle. There would be blood everywhere.

And the stairs incident. It's unlikely he would be able to punch her and attempt to punch Witney and push Witney down the stairs with his hand in a cast.

After the final May 21st fight in the ECB, Amber and Rocky both signed declarations as to the facts of that night. I am paraphrasing here - will see if I can find the video. When initially asked about the declaration during the deposition, Rocky said she had sat down and just written it herself. She said she hadn't spoken to any lawyers - just wrote down from her own recollection what happened and then she emailed it to Amber's lawyers. Then under cross she said well maybe she had had some input from the lawyers - that they had given her a general template to guide her onhow to write one but every word in it was her own. Then under further cross she remembered she had actually been in the lawyer's office when she wrote it using the template and hadn't emailed it as the lawyer's were present so she had just handed it to them after writing it. The lawyer doing the cross kept pushing to get her to admit that she had nothing to do with the writing of the declaration and that the lawyers had written it for her and all she had done was go to their office to read it and sign it. She tried to deny this but was clearly perjuring herself in her effort to defend Amber and so her lawyer jumped in and said that she (the lawyer) had written the declaration and could we please move on.

I’m still waiting for the rebuttal. I think JD’s team will have kept their most slam dunk evidence for then so it will be freshest in the minds of the jury when they go off to consider the verdict.

I think Amber has a private investigator/ police expert for amber sake hopefully he has something lined up. Today has been a bit average for her.
