Following on from parts 1 and 2
Trial has gone 'dark' this week as the Judge is at a conference so it's going to be quiet on that front and I expect this thread will run slower than the previous two, however, there is still plenty of material and evidence from the last three weeks that we can 'cross examine'.

Any and all opinions welcome.

JD hired an expert called Bryan Neumeister. He will be called in for rebuttal. This report he submitted explains the difficulties he's had so far.

What I'm in awe of is her blatant gaslighting and assuming the jury must be stupid.

At this point what evidence does she have other than her own account? The domestic violence expert based her entire testimony on her interviews with Amber- so it is all based on hearsay. Even her friends testimony was lukewarm.

There’s a letter circulating online from the ex-boss of Whitney begging her not to perjure herself in court for Amber and pointing out how terrified Whitney is of her sister.

She HAS shown many of them in court, the judge is yet to issue sanctions - could be fined, could just be that the jury will be made aware of her lack of compliance.

Exactly - she should have a plethora of photos and witnesses to match the physical harm she claims he did to her.
This is the most glaring hole in her account.

If anything, her 'evidence' goes a long way to proving she is a bullshitter.

That doesn't mean she deliberately doctored them.

This is my whole issue. Yes it's a problem. I work inIT and compatibility issues are common. It's a leap to go "HA! This proves she doctored them!"
That isn't what the expert says.

Anyway luckily the trial finishes this week and we can see what the jury think.

The way people keep trying to make this situation something that it isn’t is laughable. She is not there to prove she is likeable, role model or even completely truthful. Neither are any of us writing this. She needed to prove she had no ill intention writing that article, which I believe. No article shoots you to fame neither was she getting a lot of traction for it(Depp’s”experts”saying it gave him bad publicity did not show graphs of his popularity in recent times and we can assume it would not be as bad even if he didn’t launch this whole sick thing to make himself look good). And again this comes down to one simple thing: who. Is more. Powerful. In the relationship. WHY is it so hard to understand that? Please go argue with me how is Amber more powerful than him in any way. Y’all looking a bit like the lawyer questioning her yesterday. I bet you are diagnosing people with”cluster personalities”online fairly often as well.

You are aware iO’s witness testimony boils down to- I have no evidence but this is what I might have heard. It’s essentially unsubstantiated gossip.

And I just wanted the full video of him apparently ‘going crazy’ in the kitchen. He doesn’t smash up the place. He slams a few cupboard doors and kicks the fridge a few times. He’s obviously very upset but at no point does he touch her. This is understandable because it was the day that he first found out that he’d had 35 million dollars stolen from him by his accountant. I think I’d have a little storm about too on that case.

But instead of leaving him alone she presses record to set him up, deliberately hides the phone so he can see it. When he catches her recording he comes over and turns it off- again without touching her because she turns it back on and is grinning into the phone immediately.

It is so, so obvious that she was trying to manufacture evidence for a possible divorce. Especially as she was already having a relationship with Musk at that point.

Actually he has pointed out lots of things wrong. Including photos with dates going back to the 1970s. He will be giving a lot more detail in rebuttal.
FYI, the trial finishes next week, closing statements are on Friday the 27th May.

He had a falling out with Depp after he outed Lily- Rose as bisexual on Instagram without telling her and without her parent’s consent. She was a minor at the time. Depp asked iO to leave the penthouse. Thus iO had everything to gain on helping Amber win a bigger payout and securing the penthouse for her in the divorce.

How is Amber more powerful than JD in any way?
She's a woman who claimed he beat her.

@Legrandsophie that is believable, Io became very close to them so could have blurred the boundaries. However I don't believe that was tipping point for Depp, probably he used it as a reason to present because it makes him sound better. I could believe Io did something along those lines but it still doesn't mean he didn't confide in Io and told all those comments we heard yesterday.

You've proved mine. The ONLY thing she needs to have complete power over JD, is the fact that she is a woman.
As she has shown for 6 years. All it took was for JD not to give in to her demands. And she was at the courthouse with her fake bruise, after calling TMZ to get as much media attention as possible. Then 2 years after that, she drags it all up again with her defamatory op ed.

Yes exactly - the dates were not correct. But not doctored as clearly digital photos weren't taken in the 70s 🙄
So this doesn't show she lied - it shows the photos got corrupted - and not even when that happened

Misc. I'd say if that wasn't the tipping point, what the hell was? If someone did that to my daughter at 16 and she IS bisexual (now 26) that would absolutely be the end of that friendship.

I find it really hard to accept the whole things is a lie. I can see maybe exaggeration, embellishment? I can also see anger and frustration at living with an addict. Is anyone straight up saying he isn't abusive? I find that hard to believe, but I could see what I've put above?

My only point is that you need to include social hieararchy in anaylsis of this. Men and women don't hold the same power, we are not equal even when we earn same money and have some job position. Expectations, repercussions and treatment is different. In this particular case the power imbalance between them has been said even on this thread so many times I find it unbelievable people don't touch upon it when they essentially disregard it and keep repeating"B-b-b--u-t she hit him and called him names"(that's all you got, I guess it's enough if you deny anything Depp has done).

I don't think I'll be getting into these kinds of comments and"debates" anymore, more interested in who's next and how it will end
