DS2 is 3, he can't pronounce "f" it comes out as an "s"

When walking today to collect DS1 from school we walked past some bunting (flags) and a group of ladies were stood underneath....

"Mummy, look at those slags"

Mortified.

Amongst his other finest moments are running alongside a man in a mobility scooter miming driving and shouting "beep, beep"

AIBU to think my child was born to embarrass me 😂

What words do children you know say that sound like something else?

What have your DC done that have embarrassed you?

Make me laugh to forget my own embarrassment 🙈

This was my son. He loved the song “My Grandfather’s Clock” and would belt it out. The song takes on a different meaning if clock is no longer clock.

Oooh that's a long time to be standing your cock on the floor! 🤣🤣

I love unfortunate child misspellings 🥰 I used to teach year 1 and 2 and every year, without fail, at least one child would write Prince as 'piss' and it made me smile every time 😁

Child misspellings are surely one of the perks of teaching KS1.

Took small ds to nursery one morning. Room leader was on the floor with a couple of other children showing them a massive book with vehicles. Ds is excited to see it, points and runs across the room towards it yelling "Fuuuuuuuck!!" at the top of his voice.
Without missing a beat room leader looks at my embarrassed face and says "Yeah, we're going to teach him to say 'lorry'" 🤣

…and in the most monumental blunder NOT by a child, I just posted the above on the wrong thread about a really sensitive topic 😱

😂😂😂

I once had a remarkably short workman come round to the house to give me a quote. I found it almost impossible to concentrate on what he was saying with toddler DS repeatedly shouting “Hello little man!” at the top of his voice.

Ooooh yes. there is a big clock near DD's nursery

My DD also lost the l’s. She would often point to people with watches and say it. Haha
