Yes I know she's interviewing Boris but for fuck's sake, let him get a word in edgeways, even worse when Adil Ray is on as well.

She's so rude

It's not really about Boris, he just happens to be the one she's interviewing today - she's like this with pretty much everyone

You are at best naive to think that he didn’t have the chance to speak. He did. He just had no defence! She did let him answer and he responded that he was responsible for getting the freedom pass. So implying she ought to be grateful tahg she was travelling the bus for heating

MarvellousMonsters · 04/05/2022 20:34

supadupapupascupa · 03/05/2022 08:58

I can't stand it. Ask a question. Allow an answer. Ffs I can't hear a word

He wasn’t answering though. He was mumbling and evading. Useless, lying, self serving delusional vermin that he is.

mustlovegin · 04/05/2022 20:35

For those who seem so appalled that Boris didn't know who Lorraine is, do you have any views on this?

Are complainants saying they want to see PM on TV and listen to him recite his great achievements? If so, watch PMQs or a party political broadcast. This was an interview. If Boris is unable to marshall an argument, or reply to questions in a coherent manner without waffling and attempting to use distraction techniques to avoid answers, then he should stay at home.

Spot on, Paxman was the last decent interviewer, recently it's all old Pals laughing together... nothing to hard.... About time interviewers actually did their job instead of facilitating mini party political broadcasts...
Nobody here is been interviewed so why have you
been incompetent / lied / committed a crime / Rugby tackled a child
again PM?

Loving the dial in from Tory HQ. Shame I'm going out soon 😁

NI - Shouldn't it depend on the state of the economy and public finances when he goes in to Government? Are you going to provide a rock solid prediction? 2023 gdp projections have UK as the lowest in the G7.
Although I suppose manifesto promises aren't worth a great deal...

Don't pussyfoot about Dexra - if you going to call the woman a liar go ahead, you are not in Parliament. But even if she lives in Hampton Court Palace and has the heating in 24/7 I'm not sure it neutralises any discussion about rises in the cost of living, they aren't mythical to everyone.

I call it journalistic bollocks not lying. GMB do it all the time

mustlovegin · 04/05/2022 20:37

She seems great but she isn't riding around on buses to keep warm. If she is then shame on her six children

She seems to be heavily involved in activism

www.lbc.co.uk/radio/special-shows/call-keir/keir-fights-back-over-partygate-tories-are-trying-to-drag-us-into-the-gutter/

Keir Starmer (2.10)
"no pubs were open, no restaurants were open..."

Clearly not true -
Beer gardens and Durham City restaurants opening outdoors on April 12 [2021]
www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/19197228.pubs-restaurants-open-county-durham-april-12/

LBC host (2.22)
"How many people were there in total?"

Keir Starmer
"...I normally...have about 6 with me..."

6 people were there or up to 20/30?

Today -
Keir Starmer squirmed as he was grilled on ITV's GMB about the Beergate row.
Labour leader didn't deny ordering £200 of curry for up to 30 aides gathering.

Befriending is scary activism now? Social conscience is a terrible thing, especially amongst the elderly.

Dexra - ditch GMB. There must be nicer ways to start the day. I argue with teenagers which is only a bit better.

Notonthestairs · 04/05/2022 20:44

I guess the difference is working v sunning yourself in the garden/singing along to ABBA.

Must go. Have fun.

Nice post from someone who claims he/she dislikes BJ....not

But as you ve made a killing on the price of lamb, like most Tories the "i'm alright Jack..." doubtless springs to mind.

Strangely Keir Starmer tweeted this a few days ago -

Labour’s plan ... to scrap the Tories’ national insurance rise will put more money back in your pocket.

Angela Rayner deleted a similar tweet.

SpindleInTheWind · 04/05/2022 20:48

If pubs and restaurants were open then I can't get excited about it being a breach of 'lockdown', as lockdown was clearly over.

Wasn't this late at night? A way to feed people in the office after work as those pubs and restaurants had closed for the night or weren't taking any further bookings that night as it was late?

It's just not comparable to No 10 and No 11 at the height of strict lockdown.

Roussette · 04/05/2022 20:50

Good on Elsie. Fantastic at her age to be giving back. Wish more people would do it.

Tillsforthrills · 04/05/2022 20:51

SweetMeadow · 03/05/2022 09:45

Perhaps she did him a favour by talking lots?

His response to the example of 77 year old Elsie, using her free bus pass to stay warm on the buses instead of being at home because she can’t afford to heat it, was to say proudly that he was responsible for introducing that free bus pass… It just shows how out of touch he really is.

I was flabbergasted to see him make that remark

Delightful Grin
I don't like BJ. I wish he would bugger off. As for 'making a killing' on the price of lamb words fail me. Costs are rocketing in farming.

If restaurants and pubs were only serving outdoors, then it is no wonder the chose a takeaway they could eat inside. It would be pretty chilly outside at that time of night in April.

Alexandra2001 · 04/05/2022 20:54

Starmer didn't make the rules, didn't stand along side various med pro's telling us all the dangers of Cv and importance of obeying the rules, neither did he tell a child not to celebrate her birthday, whilst he celebrated his!

He has also been investigated by the Police and cleared, Bojo got a fine, the PM ever to do so.

Aside, when we have a Indian for two, its usually about £25 to £30, so obviously a bargain at £6 a head.... or maybe there wasn;t 30 people there?

Usual tory media trying to manipulate an election... again.

Chuck2015 · 04/05/2022 20:57

Really? The clip I saw was ‘him’ (whose name I can’t even bear to utter he’s so vile) talking all over her, going off point, lying, waffling. Anyone who interviews him and keeps their temper is clearly on Prozac. Can’t believe anyone would defend him considering the mess we are in. Freakin unbelievable so I also smell a rat with this one

Alexandra2001 · 04/05/2022 21:00

As is the price of lamb, you ve boosted of this fact many times before, usually in defence of Brexit and how sheep farmers have seen all time highs for lamb prices.

Rather than posters trying to discredit Elsie (therefore defend a PM they claim to dislike) and the millions of fixed income people she represents, would be nice to see some empathy.

ClaudineClare · 04/05/2022 21:00

Nads seems to think curries are less than a £10 a head. Understandably out of touch I suppose, if she gets her assistant to slap everything on expenses without even bothering to look at the bill.

Roussette · 04/05/2022 21:06

I'm an AgeUK befriender too, and it's such a good thing, I can't believe anyone would knock Elsie, what a star she is, she does so so much ... anyone who discredits Elsie to defend BJ and his motley crew needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves who they actually are and what they stand for

Two separate issues:
Brexit- I didn't vote for it and was gobsmacked when the sheep industry didn't completely collapse
Elsie- She's clearly a fine person but not quite as portrayed by GMB. It's on them not her

Roussette · 04/05/2022 21:11

But there will be literally thousands of 'Elsies' out there. Ones who are in absolutely dire straits. I said it on the other thread... it's what Elsi stands for. The struggling, the impoverished, the worried sick about heating and/or eating etc
