To have never opened porn by mistake?

MP Neil Parish says he may have opened porn in Commons by mistake www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61280625
I never realised it was that easy, having only been using the internet for the last 20 years n all.

And now the poor love is being persecuted for his innocent mistake.

Seriously how stupid does he think people are?

It’s just more confirmation they are all lying bastards. I wouldn’t trust a single mp to tell the truth about anything.

Ddot · 01/05/2022 18:47

I know someone who did and it was a bad one, closed straight away. He was googling children's shoes. Your memory will show how long you watched for so I'm afraid their is no escape for him and he has now come clean anyway. Creepy

Crikeyalmighty · 01/05/2022 18:50

I once worked in a co working centre where the guy opposite me was a software developer with some rather unsavoury clients clearly-- I frequently caught sight of some not very pleasant hard core porn stuff when walking past. He always had the volume off- I wasn't quite sure at the time whether to say anything to the centres management- but in the end just switched desks to other end of the room. It was all very matter of fact , like he was testing Unilever or something.

Windypants21 · 01/05/2022 18:54

Had my stolen phone retrieved by police from the local second hand shop. Thieves had thoughtfully cleaned all my data, 😡and very helpfully left a picture of the perpetrator!🤓 oh and some porn !😈 A bit of a variety...girl on girl 👭and boy/ girl stuff,👫..... one involved ceramic floors and baby oil😯..have to say i was more aghast at the possible slipping hazard 🤕and feeling sorry for the poor sod having to clean it up afterwards 🙀than any thoughts of hot passion! 👹

Maybe he had his phone stolen ?!

theDudesmummy · 01/05/2022 19:07

@MrsLargeEmbodied the wife blamed the women who "posed" for the porn.

AngelinaFibres · 01/05/2022 19:17

My brother has just had to deal with a student watching porn in the library at his university. When asked why he was watching porn in the library ( which is also open to the public and has a huge section for children) he explained that the WiFi signal there was better than the one in his hall of residence. There are just no boundaries anymore

@MrsLargeEmbodied the wife blamed the women who "posed" for the porn.

She would have to admit to herself that her husband watched it because he wanted to . He chose to open it twice. If she admits that she may have to face other things about her marriage and her creepy husband. Hard to come back from that.

They've got away with so much, they automatically think they can do what they want now.
Like a naughty child who always gets away with it !

Please have a look at this...
But if you want to join, offer ends tonight.
But you can still be part !

It's all gone way too far now...

Once is a mistake. Three times is deliberate. One of his esteemed male colleagues said on the radio that he wasn't surprised since the House of Commons was so boring. The answer is get another job if it is so boring you have to view porn!

Mxr · 01/05/2022 19:41

Given the state of the country & World....anyone faring to say it's boring, should be executed for abusing their position of trust given by the electorate ! Treason !!

There is SOOOO MUCH work they must get sorted.

They're really taking the p*as now

Ponderingwindow · 01/05/2022 19:45

I actually have because someone put it in the middle of a video targeted towards children on YouTube.

if It does happen, you close it as quickly as possible. That is the part that makes his story unbelievable.

SoggyPaper · 01/05/2022 19:45

I can’t even open porn on my phone by mistake or on purpose. I didn’t opt on to the ability to on mobile data. And I have child settings on the Wi-Fi.

i would imagine the HoC Wi-Fi has firewalls so he’d have to have chosen to turn his Wi-Fi off.

i really don’t think he believes he’s in the wrong.

maddening · 01/05/2022 19:47

I was looking for a clip from family guy and the search terms I naively used were family guy sailor and that brought up a whole load of crazy.

Mollymoostoo · 01/05/2022 19:47

Year ago a student blue toothed porn to my phone and I didn't know until I opened it in the staffroom. I was so shocked.
There is the possibility that it could uave been sent by someone and it was viewed for the first time in Chambers. A small possibility. I don't but his excuse as it was more than once.
Should MP's even be using phones in Chambers?

Mxr · 01/05/2022 19:54

Haha yeh like there's a possibility that Doris Johnson thought it was 2019 when he had his parties...
Due to overwork trying to help the poor & needy.

Bollox !
They simply all believe they are above the laws they make

StinkerTroll · 01/05/2022 20:14

I have managed to open porn accidentally at work..... I've also had many e mails blocked because of 'inappropriate content' however, i worked with young mums at the time and I did a lot of sexual health education as part of my role! Conversation with the I.T. police would go like this..... 'hello! Its Stinker Troll here, you've been blocking my e mails again!' ' Stinker, have you been looking at dodgy websites again and getting e mails about sex? Hang on, I'll sort it for you!'

Teaching volcanoes many years ago when I was younger and more naive I asked a class to Google "volcanic eruptions" Oh dear, what we got was not what we expected....

OK - I googled it. First ten hits:

  1. International Federation of the Red Cross.
  2. Smithsonian.
  3. US Geological Survey.
  4. GNS Science NZ.
  5. A Guardian article on volcanoes.
  6. Encyclopedia Britannica.
  7. Te Ara Encyclopedia of NZ.
  8. World Health Organisation.
  9. Wikipedia.
10. A NZ Civil Defence website.

Whose computer got used????

Discovereads · 01/05/2022 20:25

I have actually opened porn by mistake. Not video, but pictures.

Years ago, I was on a business trip in US and drifted down to hotel business centre where they had computers free to use. I plugged in BBC in Yahoo, you know to read the British news I was missing. Immediately, I was inundated with images of Big Black Cocks.

nopuppiesallowed · 01/05/2022 20:44

I once accidentally accessed porn when I was trying to find out more about the hip problems my golden retriever had. Absolutely no idea what the actual words I typed in were - I was too shocked to check and shut it down IMMEDIATELY! As an absolute numpty knowing nothing about anything, I got really stressed in case it was stored on my phone somehow and one of my grandchildren found it (they often play on my phone).

Mxr · 01/05/2022 20:54

Yeh well asking " a class " to Google volcanic eruptions, maybe wasn't the smartest of moves in this day & age.
Tho I'm sure you did it genuinely ..

They corrupt em early in schools these days !!

leatherboundbooks · 01/05/2022 20:57

a couple of times I've clicked on what looked to be reputable sites and discovered they had been hacked, didnt keep looking at them though, that was many years ago though

homemadecookie · 01/05/2022 20:58

Over 20 years ago I googled BHF (British Heart Foundation) at work. Google used to have a button saying 'I feel lucky' where it would automatically take you to the most likely website.... Big Horny Females wasn't what I was looking for! I immediately shut it down but had to report it to my manager and IT.

lilaclover21 · 01/05/2022 20:58

Didn't he say he was searching for tractors 😂 easy mistake to make.. can see the confusion! Haha

tuliplover · 01/05/2022 21:00

I thought he confessed that the second time he did it intentionally.

Cherryana · 01/05/2022 21:07

Personally it has happened once and I was shocked and it seemed the more I pressed to get rid of it, the more pop ups opened.

Professionally, I worked at a recruitment agency and everyone was looking at a horrendous video. I wouldn’t and walked off, thought it was terrible but had no one to complain to because the female manager was having a right laugh.

I have unfortunately been on a bus when a man was watching it.

I have no sympathy with this MP. My husband on the other hand felt for him…
