To buy an official oodie rather than a much cheaper replica?

oodie offer on. But one get one free. So £84 for two.

good deal but…. The replicas are substantially cheaper than the oodie offer price.

any thoughts re those that have experienced both?!

many thanks

I have an original £65 Oodie and I have a £14 Primark fake

I love them both , both warm
Main difference is my Primark one dries much quicker than the Oodie , if it can't get dried outside then it's on the clothes horse for nearly 2 days

sausageandbeansx · 27/04/2022 17:36

I have one from primark and love it

Howabsolutelyfanfuckingtastic · 27/04/2022 17:37

I can't see a buy one get one free offer on the oodie site. Did you see the offer elsewhere?

JofraArchersFastestBall · 27/04/2022 17:47

Does anyone have a dunelm fleece one, like this? Do you like it if so? www.dunelm.com/product/monochrome-oversized-hoodie-1000188902

MrsCranky · 27/04/2022 17:49

I don't agree with oodies or blanket hoodies, they're slovenly.

SilverHairedCat · 27/04/2022 17:49

I live in mine. DH got it for me for WFH. I rarely needed the heating on this winter. I'm a size 24 and 5'9" and could easily fit another one of me in here - it's huge and comes down to my knees. Highly recommend the branded one.

I love it 😍

You'll be popular on here then!

My kids both have Oodies and I have a cheapie - just checked and it's the Sienna one in grey.

The Oodies are noticeably thicker, longer, just better quality in general.

The cheapie arrived with two small holes in it already. At that price I don't mind but you do get what you pay for.

Fabulous Grin. I presume that makes me no better than I ought to be?

SunnyShiner · 27/04/2022 18:03

I've got both and prefer the knockoffs. The Oodie is very heavy and although my arms are long, the sleeves are too long and they annoy me.

ForFiveMinutes · 27/04/2022 18:06

Another vote for the Sienna one, it’s super toasty, and I really feel the cold.

Norgie · 27/04/2022 18:07

I bought one from Amazon, it comes to the floor almost and is like a velour type material on the outside and a fluffy fleece on the inside. After ten minutes I'm boiling! For £24 I can look just like my granny 👍
I bought my d.i.l a knee length one of the same and she absolutely loves it.

WotgunShedding · 27/04/2022 18:09

I have an Oodie and an Amazon knock off and much prefer the Oodie. The difference is really noticeable

😂Probably not! I have to say I'm probably projecting massively and if I had one of these wearable, hooded blankets, I'd probably never take it off again. I am wedded to my fluffy hot water bottle after all. I am rather slovenly to begin with so anything that reinforces that is probably not a good idea. I know if my teens had them, they'd also never take them off and we'd be transformed into a family of hopeless slovens. I'll stay clear for now.

StridTheKiller · 27/04/2022 18:33

Oodie, Snuggy and Kuddl.y owner here. Kuddly is my fave and Oodie and the much cheaper Snuggy tie for 2nd place.

Newnormal99 · 27/04/2022 18:42

We have a sienna one and an oodie. The oodie is definitely thicker and longer and better quality. I also got on a 2 for £84 offer.

Smartish · 27/04/2022 18:45

I’ve never heard of them- how do you pronounce it? Like hoodie with the h missing or ooooodie?

ConsuelaHammock · 27/04/2022 18:53

Use topcashback or Quidco if you do decide to go for the oodie. We have a primark one and an oodie and the oodie is far superior. If you have any friends who wanted one too, the 6 pack is fantastic value especially with cashback.

tomatorich112 · 27/04/2022 19:10

I bought two from Primark, a boys play station one and girls one. The boy's version is much nicer and warmer it's velour on the outside with a thick fleece under. both children love them and they were worn every day during winter. The playstation on takes much longer to dry though.
I'd buy two cheaper ones so that they can be washed every few days.

Peppapig7262662 · 27/04/2022 19:13

Kudd.ly!

Much better and a bit cheaper.

Also has better reviews, is longer in length etc.

LadyWhistledownsPen · 27/04/2022 19:24

I've got an Amazon one. It's great just the right thickness and it comes down to my ankles so super warm in winter.

HostessTrolley · 27/04/2022 19:25

How do you get the offer? I can’t see it on the website….

Neverplayleapfrogwithaunicorn · 27/04/2022 19:27

We have an oodie and an icosy both equally good in my opinion

Beautiful3 · 27/04/2022 19:41

We all got the official oodies, the quality is superb. Well worth it. Even bought one for my dad. Its warmer than the rip offs.

Branleuse · 27/04/2022 19:46

Weve got an oodie, a kudd.ly and ive also got a cheaper one from ebay and tbh theyre all much of a muchness. The kuddly and oodie are probably a bit warmer but not massively considering the price
