To think that poor Ronnie Hinch deserves some privacy

And the details of his life and e.g. speech delay not broadcast to his mothers 4.4 million followers (and whoever else wants to see as it's an open page)

Imagine having your life broadcast like that in such detail with no consent or consideration of his future Sad

OP posts:
Coriandersucks · 19/04/2022 07:23

You clearly enjoy reading about it thoughHmm

Anniefrenchfry · 19/04/2022 07:26

This is in poor taste. His parents gets to make the decision, he’s just a normal lad, she doesn’t need to hide him away. Doesn’t matter if you agree or not with their decisions, it’s their decision to make. Don’t follow if you don’t like.

Thehop · 19/04/2022 07:26

Agreed poor lad. She’s awful

sst1234 · 19/04/2022 07:26

She is just one of many wannabe celebrities with no discernible talent. It’s how they all operate. Many have been and gone before her, it’s nothing new.

MarianosOnHisWay · 19/04/2022 07:27

All the kids of “influencers” do, there should be tighter regulations on this. Louise Pentland’s daughter Darcey pretty much “works” for her mum, advertising products and posing for photos. One of the worst examples is the Saccone-Jolys. There are loads more too.

Traumdeuter · 19/04/2022 07:29

Best way around it is to not watch or follow…

ENoeuf · 19/04/2022 07:29

I just googled as I thought she was some cleaning guru. That open letter is the same style as all the boring, faux worthy posts that get shared on Facebook about SEND - ‘proudly turned your nose up’???? Reinforces my decision to avoid influencers.

whymewhyme · 19/04/2022 07:29

I agree, i don't understand why they do it!
God the saccony-jollys are awfull there's somthing very wrong going on there.
Another one is charlotte taylor, she has been known to film her kids sleeping. Unfollowed them all.

Nyfluff · 19/04/2022 07:31

I'm not familiar with them but there is a growing movement of anti exploitation of kids online so you won't be the only one thinking that. It looks like restrictions and regulations will be brought in.

Keefusandbetina · 19/04/2022 07:31

There are hundreds of ‘influencers’ who so this - it’s awful. In years to come I hope their kids sue them. Imagine having your life from pretty much birth put all over social media for thousands of people to see. It’s awful.

It’s truly awful but yes you’re right, it’s what influencer “do”. The children need to earn their keep!
Hugasauras · 19/04/2022 07:32

Ah the ubiquitous random passerby who 'stared' and the self-indulgent twaddle disguised as 'raising awareness'. A classic.

araiwa · 19/04/2022 07:33

Never heard of these people but why the fuck would you follow them?

Lollipop858 · 19/04/2022 07:40

I don’t follow Hinch or anyone, I used to follow that part time working mummy and she recently started doing this with her youngest boy, it’s incredibly sad for all of the children involved with these “influencers” and it needs to be better regulated. They’re literally destroying kids lives on there for a designer bag :(

IDontDrinkTea · 19/04/2022 07:49

Can almost guarantee that mumsnet will pull this as its ‘not in the spirit of the site’ but hey ho. For what it’s worth, I completely agree with you OP. She has essentially monetised her children and completely exploited his needs for her own gain.

I hope things change in regard to influencers children on social media. I also expect there will be some cracking lawsuits in 20 or so years of these children demanding their share of the millions

girlmom21 · 19/04/2022 07:51

I have no idea who you're talking about. If you truly think they deserve privacy don't start an AIBU thread that's going to cause people to search for them.

Scandishores222 · 19/04/2022 07:57

I dont follow any of these people but I completely agree OP. I came off all social media a few years back but what was going on back then with daily vlogging of children was shocking, I can imagine it's worse now.

Give it another 10-15 years when these kids hit adulthood and that's when the repercussion will start.

NevaehMind · 19/04/2022 07:59

Who is Ronnie Hinch?

MsTSwift · 19/04/2022 08:01

My teen Dd got a book out of the library the other day about a teen whose parents were doing this to her and how she fought back.

Surely the days of this being acceptable are numbered? These children cannot consent to their private information and pictures being smeared all over the internet. It’s actually outrageous if you give it a moment’s consideration.

AllOverIt · 19/04/2022 08:01

I quite like her, but agree that she shouldn't be posting about her kids so much.

Neither of my teenage DC will let me post a jot about them on social media and I respect that. Not even a yearly picture on their birthday 🙄

Yellownightmare · 19/04/2022 08:01

If you know who Ronnie Hinch is then you're part of the problem.

DemBonesDemBones · 19/04/2022 08:02

Didn't know her Son has a speech delay until this thread. As a mother of a child with a speech delay it sounds like someone I would follow. Also, do I care she's monetising her page? Speech therapy is expensive, so absolutely not.

thewhatsit · 19/04/2022 08:02

Of course this is the exact spirit of Mumsnet!

It was Mumsnet in fact that introduced me to these parenting influencers some years a go and the way that the #Ads and #gifted worked and how much the children were being exploited. I think MN had a very positive influence on bringing a lot of this to light..

galacticpixels · 19/04/2022 08:06

I think all children of "influencers" deserve privacy and have no respect for people who use their children for content.

Exactly

I literally have NO idea who any of these ‘names’ are, but if you’re following them, you’re feeding this shit!

It’s all bollocks, you know this but your click/follow is creating something out of a nothing
