I don’t think women are saying that children won’t thrive in daycare for 10+ hours a day - they do and will and mine have.

However let’s be honest most very young children and babies would prefer to be at home in the care of their parents, which just isn’t possible.

SAHM mums can be feminists too and should be allowed their opinion.

You do not have to agree with it. You live your life how you want. You do NOT get to tell other women how to live.

Sorry but some very condescending offensive remarks here too to SAHM in this thread, sarcastically saying the SAHM mum should be obeying their husbands and relying on them financially etc. That’s also nasty and isn’t in the spirit of feminism, it’s hypocritical.

I'm wife, a mother and I have a successful career. I'm not defined by those individual roles but who I am as a person.

You are the one who is coming across as judgemental with views that are outdated and offensive.

I value my position as a mother. I also value my job, and as a single woman who doesn't have time for a relationship I bloody value casual sex.

Nobody has said SAHMs can't be feminists or that they aren't allowed an opinion.

Yes it is, but some people have no choice, and I would certainly not judge them on it.

Yes it’s a lot. It’s not ideal for children. Some people have no choice. Sone people have a choice and still choose that option.

They are not derogatory. She has said she is happy to be in a traditional housewife role, so no one has said anything that isn't true.
