Just that, really.

I just walked into the kitchen to see this thing grinning at me from the table. It is a gnome in full Crystal Palace strip. DH intends for it to go in our garden. I thought he was joking but no, he's absolutely serious. Apparently it's to celebrate the fact that they've reached the semi-final of some football competition or other.

I have spent £100s on beautiful David Austin roses recently and thought we were going for a cottage garden vibe. Apparently not.

They do gnomes for the team my husband supports. Luckily he does not seem to have realised this.

Perhaps it could have an accident with the lawn mower at some point OP?

Anyway the gnome is safely in place, but obviously DH is now well aware that further lapses of taste / judgement will not be tolerated.

(Loving the faux-disgusted reactions to spending money on flowers though. Makes me feel like Elton John. Good old MN.)

We have a Game of Gnomes Gnome sitting on an iron throne in our front garden.

I got it for DH for Christmas 4 years ago, he loved it.
