trib.al/ov5g0nj I can’t stand the throes but agree with this

OP posts:
Tomeeornottomee · 06/04/2022 19:29

It really rules me when someone I can’t stand says something I agree with 100%. This is a case in point. Keir Starmer needs to take note.

FishfingersAndCustard86 · 06/04/2022 19:30

@Lockheart you missed something out

“trans women competed in female classes but no child or mother went hungry because they can't afford to buy food and also their aunt gets raped by the man in the prison cell they are with. The child has been made infertile and had decades removed from their lifespan because for a brief few years their undiagnosed autism, lesbian sexuality and reluctance to follow female beauty/behaviour stereotypes was medicalised unquestioningly with puberty blockers. And when the father turned abusive the woman escaped with the child to a refuge, only to be met by a man with an obvious erection in her room. When she complained she was told to get over her prejudice and kicked out for being a transphobic bigot. When the child grows up, she receives death and rape threats for daring to say that, as a lesbian, she is attracted to biological women.

OR

  • a world with no trans women allowed in female sport classes but mothers and children go hungry”

That’s what I see.

And that’s why I’m voting Tory for the first time in my life. Sick of sitting on the sidelines waiting for Labour to come to its senses, if they want women like me to not vote for them, then they can have their wish.

@HRTQueen

I agree with him too

And this is now headline news debate which it should be

Labour have really shot themselves in the foot

Fuck me, this is why I have no faith in the British public.

Show me where that lair and piece of shit has introduced legislation or laws to enshrine this fucking soundbite? Because that's all it is a soundbite, just like everything else this pathetic leadership has done. This is a government that won't ban gay conversion therapy for fucks sake.

But sheep gotta be sheep....

EvilPea · 06/04/2022 19:31

This trojan of intellect is part of a party that has enabled rapists to go in women's prisons. I want to see some action, not some fine words.
@LexMitior
That is a bloody bloody good point. They may say it, but they are NOT walking the walk

LexMitior · 06/04/2022 19:31

@Westchesterarms - the difference for me is that the Conservative Party advanced Self ID, made it possible for biological men to go into women's prisons, single sex wards, and put all that policy forward.

You will forgive my skepticism because the Labour Party have not done any of that, or made policy to facilitate it. So I don't think much of this, because the damage was done by the Conservatives.

Lockheart · 06/04/2022 19:32

@DrSbaitso I'm no Tory voter but the problem is that it isn't just sport, or toilets. The decision isn't as simple and clear cut as this when women and girls aren't defined and recognised as female sexed people.

Labour have been absolute tools on this issue. You don't get votes by fence sitting, you lose both sides.

No, it's not just sport or toilets. I'm gender critical, I know the issues. I agree with what Johnson has said and disagree with what Starmer has said.

But I will, every single time, refuse to vote for the party that has done such huge damage to women and children in this country and which is still happening and getting worse right now.

As far as I'm concerned, identity politics takes a back row seat to the huge inequality, poverty, and hunger in this country.

ScribblingPixie · 06/04/2022 19:32

@ZaZathecat

There are more important issues at stake in the next election though, like not leaving the poor and vulnerable to starve.
Surely the Labour Party agree with that and will drop their unpopular self-ID policy in order to have a better chance of being able to gain power and tackle those issues?
musicalfrog · 06/04/2022 19:32

So what if you think he's lying?

At least he's saying what we want to hear.
Unlike everyone else!

It's a start, right?

DrSbaitso · 06/04/2022 19:32

This is a government that won't ban gay conversion therapy for fucks sake.

Have I missed something? I thought it was transgender conversion it won't ban.

Peboh · 06/04/2022 19:33

@Campervan69

It was exactly what was needed. Finally the adults are talking.
The fact you called Boris an adult says a lot. He makes one good point and you all are falling all over yourselves for him. Blimey, he's really got this country on a puppet string hasn't he.
HesterShaw1 · 06/04/2022 19:34

You haven't missed anything.

Johnson actually spoke out strongly against hay conversion therapy

Learningstill · 06/04/2022 19:34

If we women allow ourselves to have forced on us biological males in sport, in children’s changing rooms, in toilets, in rape centres, in refuge centres, in prisons, in hospitals, then all those suffragettes of yesteryear, the feminists of the 60s will have campaigned and fought in vain. People may live how they wish but not at the expense of women and children.
Boris, whatever you think of him, said the right words, let’s hope it produces action by others.

Floopsy · 06/04/2022 19:34

For the first time in my life I agree with Boris. Labour will lose women's votes if they cannot see that we have legitimate concerns about our rights . Labour don't listen, the Conservatives seem to.

I'm a lifelong Labour voter. I won't be voting for them until they convince me that they will protect my sex-based rights.

He’s always said what people want to here. He rarely follows through though.

So what exactly is the current Tory government introducing then? New legislation to protect women only spaces? New legislation to ban trans from women sport?

My goodness, its like the special feminist bus for us here, Johnson stands in front of a big issue bus that says "Vote Johnson for the bare minimum common sense to correct that which my own party put forward".

Really. Without action, what rot it is.

FishfingersAndCustard86 · 06/04/2022 19:36

No, no @ScribblingPixie.

You see, it is us women that have to put our rights and needs in the back burner. So that all those wonderfully progressive people, who have at best remained silent, and at worst encouraged the rape, death threats, health scandals and more that women and children have had to suffer because of gender ideology, can get in to power.

Then after they’ve sorted everything else out, women will magically matter again. Eventually. When they get around to it.

Bignanny30 · 06/04/2022 19:36

We can’t say that transgender is okay on one hand and then say that those who have transgendered can’t take part in their chosen sport or career.

Florenz · 06/04/2022 19:36

I don't trust the Tories on this issue, I do trust Labour, and they have made it abundantly clear what their position on the matter is. So what are people supposed to do?

Stripyhoglets1 · 06/04/2022 19:37

I agree with what he says but make no mistake that if he thought saying TWAW would win them more votes right now - he'd fully go for that instead.
But they've gleefully realised this might get them out of the shit they were facing at the local elections where they were due to get a hammering - this has been a gift to them.
The tories don't respect women.
The tory policies over the last 12 years have harmed alot of women too.
I might agree with what he says here but the rest of the extensive harm they have caused means I would never ever vote for them.

Turningpurple · 06/04/2022 19:37

*trans women competed in female classes but no child or mother went hungry because they can't afford to buy food OR

  • a world with no trans women allowed in female sport classes but mothers and children go hungry*

But that's not what it's about.

Using your version it would be choosing between mothers and children going hungry and women staying in an abusive relationship, keeping their children on that situation because their local support services say they must be willing to be supported by biological males.

Or lesbians being covered into having sex with a biological male, so they can remain in their support groups. What happens when young lesibians have no support from their own community?

Its not women's sport vs starving children.

That's why it's a difficult decision for many of us

Thoosa · 06/04/2022 19:39

Even a stopped clock….

walkersareback · 06/04/2022 19:40

@DrManhattan

Still not gonna vote for him.
Me neither
FishfingersAndCustard86 · 06/04/2022 19:40

@namethattunein1

You appear to be misunderstanding. It’s not about what the story party is doing. It’s about what they are NOT doing, about what they are clearly quickly backtracking on, and about what Labour has stated that it WILL do.

Labour has told women that it WILL support self-ID. Which means we will lose all ability to fight against those things I’ve listed.

Why in the fuck would I vote for that?! Or do you suggest I still continue for the party that called me a bigot and said I was not welcome for even saying that there may be a few issues here.

I’ll vote against them until they see sense.

And if Labour genuinely gives a fuck about the poor, or disabled, and everyone else. Then they will drop this single issue that will relegate them to the shadows for the next ten years (at least) if they let it.
