trib.al/ov5g0nj I can’t stand the throes but agree with this

OP posts:
leotardrock · 06/04/2022 19:18

I agree with him too! First time ever! 🤡

Greatoutdoors · 06/04/2022 19:19

Well this is awkward. Never thought I’d find myself nodding along with that buffoon.

PinkCheetah · 06/04/2022 19:19

Yes on this point I agree with Boris. In terms of athletic performance I imagine testosterone levels have a huge advantageous impact which as a biological male/trans woman you will have compared to the female sex. Why should they be put at a disadvantage in sport because of trans politics?

Lockheart · 06/04/2022 19:20

Here's the thing. If I had to choose a hypothetical world where either:

  • trans women competed in female classes but no child or mother went hungry because they can't afford to buy food OR
  • a world with no trans women allowed in female sport classes but mothers and children go hungry

Guess which one I'm going to pick?

And that's why despite agreeing with Boris, I'll still vote Labour.

Cervinia · 06/04/2022 19:20

Bloody ‘ell, I think Boris is a twat but I agree with this too.

And whilst I think his stance is political and Carrie has explained it to him, fair play.

LexMitior · 06/04/2022 19:20

@dottydodah

well done to Boris! At last a leader who knows what a woman is .This is just common sense surely .Women need to race against one another on an even playing field .For sure we need women only spaces too
This trojan of intellect is part of a party that has enabled rapists to go in women's prisons. I want to see some action, not some fine words.
Crikeyalmighty · 06/04/2022 19:20

I agree with Boris on this subject— but rarely on anything else.

JaneJeffer · 06/04/2022 19:21

Only a few weeks ago you all thought he was a compulsive liar who didn't care a shite for anyone
He is

HeArInGhandsgirl11 · 06/04/2022 19:23

Agree with him, will be voting Tory

Suzi888 · 06/04/2022 19:23

I agree with him, but will still vote Labour.

Blossomtoes · 06/04/2022 19:23

@JaneJeffer

Only a few weeks ago you all thought he was a compulsive liar who didn't care a shite for anyone He is
Then why let him pull the wool over your eyes?
HRTQueen · 06/04/2022 19:23

I agree with him too

And this is now headline news debate which it should be

Labour have really shot themselves in the foot

JaneJeffer · 06/04/2022 19:24

I'm not in U.K. @Blossomtoes

CornishPasty101 · 06/04/2022 19:25

@Mnusernc

Are we actually going to have to vote Tory? Do Labour hate us that much?
This is what I am worried about too.

I want to vote Labour but I just can't with their stance on this.

But I bloody hate the Conservatives.

Peboh · 06/04/2022 19:25

I agree with him, but I will not be voting conservative. Him saying something that stands true, does not mean the his values are in favour of the British public. They are not. Look at the cost of living crisis. Keep voting them in, and things are only going to get worse.

Westchesterarms · 06/04/2022 19:26

@LexMitior

Seriously judge Johnson on what he does - he's in charge of the country. I couldn't care less about Starmer. He isn't.
If I'm voting on women's rights, I have to listen to the party leaders to see who supports my position. If all the other party leaders can't even say that they agree with me, then I'm only left with someone who does say they agree. And he has started to put a hold on certain legislation. So when I'm looking across the political parties, if I'm going to be swayed to vote by the trans issue, there is no other leader that even comes close. It's a no brainer to vote for him. Starmer isn't in charge, but if he can't even say that he agrees with my stance, then why would I want to put him into power?
Campervan69 · 06/04/2022 19:26

It was exactly what was needed. Finally the adults are talking.

I'm no Tory voter but the problem is that it isn't just sport, or toilets. The decision isn't as simple and clear cut as this when women and girls aren't defined and recognised as female sexed people.

Labour have been absolute tools on this issue. You don't get votes by fence sitting, you lose both sides.

MapleMay11 · 06/04/2022 19:27

I agree with Boris, on this at least.

GreenUp · 06/04/2022 19:27

I'm not a Conservative voter but he and other Conservatives like Damien Green are right (for once) on this subject.

Female bodies are not just male bodies that are crippled by hormones. Why should we even be having this stupid debate now in sports in 2022 when the difference between males and females is self evident.

And no law regarding kids with gender dysphoria should be passed until after the Cass Report is released and fully scrutinised and any recommendations are put into place. It's stupid to rush bad law through for a minor PR victory that can impact badly on children, especially when other countries like Sweden and Finland are pulling back from the medicalisation pathway.

Labour, Greens, LibDems and SNP need to get their acts together on these issues and stop with the flat-earth equivalent science denialism. Voters aren't falling for this any more.

GettingItOutThere · 06/04/2022 19:27

he has my vote. well done boris

RincewindsHat · 06/04/2022 19:27

I do not agree with Boris on much, but on this? 100%.

Terfydactyl · 06/04/2022 19:28

@Dogknowsbest

I partly agree with him. Definitely no men in female sports.

Having spent time in family changing rooms with small kids and half naked men around, I'm not sure I understand why women get hung up on "maintaining female only spaces". I'm sure any transgender person would be feeling equally vulnerable if not more. And more to the point, where should they be changing if the only option is binary?. As women, I feel we should be sympathetic to transgender people.

You heard of self Id? Can you think of any issues if any man can self id into women only spaces?

With labour, you'll get self id.

Heard of women who simply cannot share spaces with any men? Where do they go to participate in daily life if they are stuck in the house because needing the toilet is pretty basic, but if men are allowed (see self id) they are not allowed out.

You mean Johnson? An adult? Ffs, there are some bloody short memories round here.
