trib.al/ov5g0nj I can’t stand the throes but agree with this

Yeah, to be honest sports are not really on the radar for those who are struggling to feed their kids right now.

So would female prisoners being forced to share showers with male prisoners be on your radar or are these underprivileged women not important enough to be on your radar?

HRTQueen · 06/04/2022 22:44

Do you seriously think the vast majority of middle England gives a shit about this?

Yes they do many didn’t realise the impact of the issue. Thanks to Starmer they now do.

Why do you think Boris Johnson has made such a statement. I don’t think I have ever heard him be so clear on a subject before there was no waffling no quoting history it was straight to the point while showing some sympathy

And now middle England shall be sitting at home nodding along in agreement

Phobiaphobic · 06/04/2022 22:45

@Hasselhoffsheadband Feeling every inch of your righteous fury there!

Historyherstory · 06/04/2022 22:46

Boris should and could have stood up for JKR when she was getting the proverbial kicked out of her but I suppose it didn’t suit his timing then.

I also think he’s less likely to uturn than Labour are. They’re too entrenched with
Stonewall

My DH will try to talk me out of voting Tory but I think I don’t care.

Inkanta · 06/04/2022 22:46

They thought we were so fucking thick and stupid and so desperate to be kind that we would actually vote for that horseshit?

Nail on head!

magicofthefae · 06/04/2022 22:47

@TheKeatingFive

This is a classic Tory deflection, they can't deliver on the real issues that matter, so let's distract the masses with an 'in vogue' albeit comparatively trivial matter.

It's not the Tories that have brought this issue front and centre though.

Who owns the media who brings this stuff to light? It's right wing conservative millionaires like Rupert Murdock
Florenz · 06/04/2022 22:48

@Blossomtoes

I can’t think middle England will ever vote Labour again tbh, not after the embracing trans everywhere

Do you seriously think the vast majority of middle England gives a shit about this?

They will do when the media makes it an issue prior to the election - which it no doubt will be.
Chasingaftermidnight · 06/04/2022 22:48

personally it makes me want to laugh, its not worth weeping , if people are that daft they want to vote for him based on this one thing he has said , knowing its coming from the mouth of a proven liar who will do or say anything to stay in power than really more fool them .

i think all this does is show if anything his general contempt for people including women , oh look i will spout this shite because a load of women all hot under the collor about it will believe me and hey bingo lo and behold its worked . the master manipulater pulls it off again . i know he holds most of us general public in contempt , i just find it odd why so many other people dont

I agree with every word of this.

Anyone who thinks Boris actually cares about women’s rights or safety is painfully gullible.

Phobiaphobic · 06/04/2022 22:48

I hope the Tory and the Labour party advisors are all over this thread, because a lot of women are extremely pissed off about the gender ideology crap we've had shoved down our throats for the last few years.

#Respectmysexifyouwantmyx

Hasselhoffsheadband · 06/04/2022 22:49

And the other thing that has really shocked me is that this has really uncovered how much misogyny there is on the Left. Totally naively, I guess I thought the Left cared more about women and children, but this issue has shown that its all just lip service and that when it comes down to it, men will always be more important. Look at Billy Bragg, big 'man of the left' going full MRA on Twitter this week in his bid to desperately cling on to showing how compassionate he is when it comes to the trans issue.

It's so depressing, no one gives a shit.

ThreeRingCircus · 06/04/2022 22:49

I agree with him and am laughing at the comments about how he just wants votes, well yes, obviously, and Starmer clearly doesn’t want votes so who’s the idiot?

I agree with this. I'm praying that other political parties take note and follow suit before general election time.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 06/04/2022 22:49

@Waxonwaxoff0

There are currently single mums literally starving, unable to pay energy bills and people suddenly think Boris is some kind of feminist champion.
NO

I'm fucked off with Labour handing this to him on a plate

LBFseBrom · 06/04/2022 22:49

I don't know what you mean by the 'throes', but I certainly do agree with BoJo on this issue.

Laburnam · 06/04/2022 22:51

Agree with him for the first time

Inkanta · 06/04/2022 22:51

Boris should and could have stood up for JKR when she was getting the proverbial kicked out of her*

Yes and the whole Harry Potter cast did the dirty on her.

Doodar · 06/04/2022 22:51

With Lammy and Starmer if push come to shove the Tories will get my vote on this alone.

HomeprideSaucy · 06/04/2022 22:53

Don't be so bloody naive.
He's playing for you for fools.
It's all about stoking up culture war, not about love or respect for womankind or any desire to protect their rights. Johnson doesn't care about anything unless he thinks it will win him votes. And when when he's safely installed in Downing Street for another five years come 2024, he'll forget all about it. Until the next election.

OvaHere · 06/04/2022 22:54

@Hasselhoffsheadband

Boris Johnson has clearly said this because he has watched what has happened to Labour politicians when they have stumbled and stuttered when asked simple questions such as 'what is a woman'.

He knows that Labour have fucked up massively on this issue and is now swooping in to exploit that. And who can blame him really, its the lowest hanging fruit possible?

This is why I have come to despise the Labour Party. For leaving so many women, who were so loyal to them for so long, up shit creek. For completely underestimating women. For thinking that we would fucking cheer them on as they go on and on about how important it is for any man to be able to legally declare himself a woman with no gatekeeping. Expecting us to cheer them on as they literally tell us that they don't give a shit about us and that we shouldn't be allowed anything for ourselves, no single sex spaces, no all women shortlists, no more female sports. They thought we were so fucking thick and stupid and so desperate to be kind that we would actually vote for that horseshit?

They can fuck right off. I am so upset with Labour for leaving us in this position.

Yes to all of this Star
DrSbaitso · 06/04/2022 22:56

@Inkanta

Boris should and could have stood up for JKR when she was getting the proverbial kicked out of her*

Yes and the whole Harry Potter cast did the dirty on her.

I noticed Radcliffe refusing to be drawn on it recently, which is funny since he couldn't wait to grace us with his opinion two years ago.
Florenz · 06/04/2022 22:57

People will vote for the Tories because while they may forget about or are indifferent to the lives of ordinary people, they aren't actively hostile to ordinary people as many people involved with Labour.

Westchesterarms · 06/04/2022 22:57

@chaosrabbitland
personally it makes me want to laugh
Yeah, I don't think it does make you want to laugh, though, because you've used quite excessive language over a simple election procedure.

its another to declare in lovestruck fashion boris has your vote now , all the other lies and cockups and policies dont matter a fuck , this one thing hes said will have lots of fawning women...

When I cast my three votes for councillors in May, I can guarantee I won't be lovestruck or fawning. Lol. Its just my vote on who I think will be best at looking after where I live.

littlbrowndog · 06/04/2022 22:57

Am not a fool. Don’t think women in prison should be sexually assaulted by men in prison

Am not a fool don’t think men should be playing in womens sport

Am not a fool don’t think boys should be in my daughters changing room
Am not a fool. Am not a cervix haver

Am not a fool am not a vulva owner

This is the biggest fight for women and girls

magicofthefae · 06/04/2022 22:57

I'm genuinely shocked at how many posters on here are falling for his BS....I can't believe they can't see through his game and strategy. People actually considering voting for this man, despite everything he and his party have done....just because he speaks logic and ethics on this ONE topic. I'm astounded....how they fall for it.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 06/04/2022 22:57

@HomeprideSaucy

No, Labour are playing us for fools. The Labour Party who literally told us that they don't care about women and that men are more important and still thought we would vote for them.

And I want him to forget about it. I don't want the ridiculous notion of self id to ever be spoke about again to be honest, and I want to Equality Act to be upheld properly, not in Stonewall law way.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/04/2022 22:58

It's a shame for Labour supporters that the leaders of their party are so bad at this.

Yes I suggest all the people who think it's immoral not to vote Labour, get onto them and ask them what the fuck they are playing at. We've tried, they're not interested. Maybe you will have more luck.
