You see, he hasn’t though. The trans debate is just another chapter in the so called “culture wars” which pits about 5% of adults on the fringe left - eg, “the woke brigade” - against 5% on the fringe right, eg the hard brexiters and food banks are wonderful lot.
The vast majority of the country meanwhile couldn’t give a toss about those issues. Which is why both Labour and the Tories try to avoid talking about them as much as possible - as there’s virtually zero political capital to be made from them except with the fringe 10% - but saying something daft will give opponents ammunition.
Anyway, the electorate - the sane/boring 90% at least, will vote on the economy, taxes, public services and housing - same as always. IE the boring shit that actually improves or destroys peoples lives. Not the culture wars bollocks.
Currently Labour are polling around 40% and the Tories 35%, which would probably translate to Labour most seats, but some ways off a majority.[/quote]
well said pita , im concerned about the boring shit myself , the stuff that makes all our lives better , frankly i cant fathom anyone that wouldnt base their votes on those issues
