Are there any woman in the public eye who look younger than their years?

It comes up quite regularly on MN, where people comment that really nobody of say 40+ looks much younger than their actual age.

But plenty of other women do say they genuinely get taken for younger. So it's obviously quite individual.

Are there any women in the public eye who do look younger, do you think?

I find this fascinating as I am truly shit at guessing anybody's age! Which I suspect could be something to do with being neurodivergent - I just don't 'see' the small giveaways.

Most of us do only see these women in red carpet type situations. If you follow a particular celebrity on social media you may get to see carefully pre-selected photos of them. But the majority of us tend to only see them in heavily stylised settings. So my point stands.

Lorraine Kelly doesn't look younger than her age as such but she looks younger than she did 30 years ago. She was an old looking 20-something!

Some people just grow into their looks as they age.

Phillipa Forrester who used to present Tomorrow's World... she was on a quiz show recently and looks really young for early 50's and after have 3 children... only looks late 30's!

No celeb who has botox and fillers looks natural. They might be glamorous and beautiful but they are not natural looking and eventually they do not look like themselves anymore.

I do not get why we have to 'age' a person in order for them to have credibility.

Sure, get botox if you want to reduce wrinkles, why not? But it's the other stuff that makes them look downright weird. They have to stay relevant but on doing so they become ' plastic' don't they?

All celebrities have had botox, or fillers, or face lifts, or a combination of the above. Literally no-one who is significantly famous and over the age of 35 is totally free from work.

Also as a fun fact, the only natural blonde in Hollywood is Amanda Seyfried.

Floella Benjamin was my absolute favourite telly person when I was a kid. Just saying her name brought joy. She looks amazing!

I honestly don’t understand why people say this sort of thing. She looks great. She has resources that the average person will never have access to, and has presumably used said resources in various ways to ensure she keeps looking great. So, what?

Nicola Coughlan from Derry Girls/ Bridgerton is mid- 30s, but plays a girl/ young woman of 19 or so. I do think, though, that the actor who plays her friend Eloise Bridgerton appears much more mature than a 17/18 year old.

Sorry, not clear, I think that the Derry Girls character she plays is more than 16/17.

Pointing out that some celebs have had the assistance of plastic surgery doesn't seem unrelated to the topic in hand. It's sweet you feel the need to stick up for wealthy celebs tho.

And I’m sorry you’re so unpleasant. I wasn’t ‘implying’ that she looked ‘magically’ anything. I said she looked great and I don’t particularly care how she’s achieved that. Clear unambiguous statements.

Selma Blair looked young prior to being diagnosed with a medical condition. In Cruel Intentions (1999), she played the role of a school age teenager when aged 25/26 (depending on when in year film was released).
