Interested to hear some opinions. What do you think of her? I was just reading a Dailymail article where she and William are in Belize and people are complaining about them flaunting their lives and all that. People struggling and Ukraine on fire, etc and Kate and William are rubbing it in people's faces. What do you think? Yes, they definitely have it better than a lot of people but in one sense I also feel that she has to thread on eggshells being in the public eye so much. Say one thing she'll be crucified but if she says something else it will be the same, she can't win regardless of what she says or do. If she acknowledges and openly says that she's got it easy with her luxury lifestyle people will scream down her neck about that too. What do you think? What's your view on Kate?

She needs to look pretty and have no opinions which she does a stirling job at.

I dont think that's really her though, particularly when you see her interact with Harry it looks like she has a great personality in private but she knows how to do her job.

I'm surprised that some people haven't heard about the affairs, the global press and MN have been rife with this for years, particularly the Rose Hanbury rumours.

Mystery2345 · 22/03/2022 21:25

I see her often IRL and occasionally interact - she seems happy, kind, in no way the "big I am" and a very loving mum. So I am not convinced that it's all a facade, at all. I think she's an intelligent woman - or advised by very good people (probably both)

ThettaReddast · 22/03/2022 21:25

I never was a fan in the early days, she came across as a bit workshy, posey and I guess annoying.
I think these days though they as a couple are doing what is required of them, and making a decent job of it.

dayswithaY · 22/03/2022 21:26

I think she's lovely but needs to rein in the "I'm a busy exhausted Mum just like you" schtick.

It would be better if she could acknowledge her fabulously privileged lifestyle and huge wealth, she can still be sympathetic and try to understand how "normal people" live, without trying to be one.

They are different to us - that's the point, if they struggled to pay their mortgage why would anyone be interested.

MerryMarigold · 22/03/2022 21:27

I personally think the media seen to worship her and I'm not sure why. I think she looks a lot older than she is (too much makeup?), so maybe she doesn't have it easy. And her style is quite bland so I don't know why people seem to worship the style ground she walks on. But that's about my only opinion on her.

Iggly · 22/03/2022 21:28

The whole idea of a royal family is just so arcane and ridiculous.

I have no opinion of Kate and hate the fawning exhibited by people who don’t know her, the slavering over her appearance etc. it’s just so misogynistic.

Get rid of the royals. They’re just another rich family.

Lambkin689 · 22/03/2022 21:30

Annoyingly perfect (that's a compliment)

Wolfie12 · 22/03/2022 21:31

The Daily Fails fawning over Kate is hysterical, they are literally like an obsessive stalker. Kate in herself is dull and beyond boring, very much a Stepford wife and painfully thin. Yet the Daily Fail paint her as some white saviour of the world. Pathetic really.

Lurking9to5 · 22/03/2022 21:31

I like her. In retrospect I admire her ability to tune out/ not react to negative headlines before she married william, and since she married him, she hasnt put a foot wrong.
William coukd not have done better.

urbanbuddha · 22/03/2022 21:32

I was pleaesed that she left flowers on Clapham Common for Sarah Everard and sad that she couldn't say more.

MissTrip82 · 22/03/2022 21:32

I have no reason to think she’s anything other than a perfectly nice woman. She has more material resources than I do - despite this, I wouldn’t change my life for hers.

It makes me feel quite ill to read so many women salivating with praise because she ‘never puts a foot wrong’. This is not something to aspire to.

Her life is not what I’d chose for me or for my daughter, and the idea that the pinnacle of female achievement is quietly managing to stay within extremely rigid social norms is desperately depressing.

lightand · 22/03/2022 21:32

I think she does her job well.
I think she is the sort of person that, if she were not there, I would miss her.

ronjobbins · 22/03/2022 21:33

@Crabjuice

I think she's a complete mug, given the amount of affairs her husband has had, that are constantly hidden by the UK press.

That aside, no other opinion.

Have you personally had an ‘affair’ with PW? If not, let’s be honest you’re talking sh*t Hmm
Frollop · 22/03/2022 21:33

They should self fund. They are so out of touch with the majority of the public... they are clueless!

Throughtheforest2 · 22/03/2022 21:36

Met her, George and Charlotte randomly and had a conversation with her.
Won’t say details as too outing as the situation was all a bit bizarre, but she was so normal and friendly. And no one else was around so she could’ve just ignored me. Seemed really genuine.

BananaPlants · 22/03/2022 21:37

I think she looks great. Really healthy and happy. Beautiful children too. Being “bland” is also a good defence mechanism for her as it allows her to keep her real personality private, so she isn’t giving all of herself away to the press or public.

PingPages · 22/03/2022 21:38

Eh is this the Daily Mail?

Questiontellme · 22/03/2022 21:40

Yup agree with @Pumperthepumper seems like a very nice lady. I love her interest in early years although it doesn't seem to have gotten quite as much traction as it might.

The tour is possibly ill timed, nothing to do with her personality though OP, it's her job!

DaffodilDandilion · 22/03/2022 21:40

The Daily Mail and it’s readers have only started to worship her since Harry married Meghan. Prior to that she was slated constantly for being lazy.

She does her job well but in modern times I don’t think her job is especially aspirational. She’s a rich woman who has to look pretty and not express an opinion.

Her literal dressing makes me cringe though.

BitterTits · 22/03/2022 21:40

I have no interest in her, she's irrelevant. Well, enough to reply to this thread but that's all.

Questiontellme · 22/03/2022 21:41

@Crabjuice give over 🙄

Margot78 · 22/03/2022 21:42

I like her, as much as you can like someone you’ve never met. She doesn’t publicly complain about her life even though it must get tiresome. She gets on with the job, comes across as genuine and tries to use her position for good (even though it’s hard to sometimes find the substance of what the royal family do beyond photos and visiting). I don’t think it’s bland or insipid to rise to the challenge of a job and get on with it without moaning. Not many of us could face posing for the press straight after giving birth. She has a sense of duty, whether you believe it should be her duty or not. I hope that at some point in her life she gets to slug in front of Netflix with a bargain bucket and a pint.

More lazy Dailymail journalism.
TheKeatingFive · 22/03/2022 21:43

She's very good at wearing clothes, pushing out children and making bland chit chat about nice uncontroversial topics.

Which seems to be exactly what the royalists want from women marrying in. 🤷‍♀️

lollipoprainbow · 22/03/2022 21:43

I find them both very dull. I really miss Harry and Meghan, I was always interested to see what she would wear to events etc.
