To ask what you think of Kate Middleton?

Interested to hear some opinions. What do you think of her? I was just reading a Dailymail article where she and William are in Belize and people are complaining about them flaunting their lives and all that. People struggling and Ukraine on fire, etc and Kate and William are rubbing it in people's faces. What do you think? Yes, they definitely have it better than a lot of people but in one sense I also feel that she has to thread on eggshells being in the public eye so much. Say one thing she'll be crucified but if she says something else it will be the same, she can't win regardless of what she says or do. If she acknowledges and openly says that she's got it easy with her luxury lifestyle people will scream down her neck about that too. What do you think? What's your view on Kate?

Do we? It sounds unlikely. But then I don't know what her daily routine is, as I don't know her.

That's not not working though. She worked for Party Pieces too, but maybe that doesn't count? Hmm

We don’t know if she’s a smoker now but one of those pap shots in France of her sunbathing (that this country’s media didn’t publish) showed her smoking. It is known that she has smoked for years but whether she’s quit or not obviously we don’t know as she’s not photographed smoking.

I don't think it's me that needs to grow up... 😁 MM has a vast team of people plotting her everymove. There's nothing she cares about more than what we think. Same is true of the RF of course...

There are loads of people who are naturally slim, thin even without any effort at all. My mum is now in her 80s and has been 7stone something her whole adult life. She looks like a child from the back - tiny shoulders, tiny frame generally. She had put zero effort into being this size and eats biscuits and cakes by the truck load. She couldn't put on weight if she tried.

We have no idea what Kate eats but like all Royals she'll eat the very best quality food. It's processed crap that causes so many women to put on weight.

Why do people get hung up on Kate Middleton? who irl when having a conversation refers to her as the duchess of whatever? Get over yourselves. Km has a nice ring to it, rolls off the tongue, you call her what you like, I'll l call her kate Middleton. Fgs...

She was definitely a smoker and probably still is. When she was dating William she was photographed with fags in her bag.

I find all the comments about her always getting it right and ‘never putting a foot wrong’ quite strange- as women we shouldn’t be congratulating another woman for never having a voice or stepping out of line. Jesus.

Camilla is/was a smoker also. Probably still is too.... I'd say they are besties with a sneaky fag of relief at the end of a balcony performance. Well it's either that or gin or maybe both. Whatever gets you through the torture.

I don't think it's about that at all, it's about understanding her job. Doesn't mean she doesn't have a voice at all.

I think she is just what the royal family need. Blends into the background as in doesn’t look for attention and is very aware of her role as the spouse of a future king, but also mother of a future king. Nothing to complain about with her but some people will never be satisfied.

Really? Most women find it harder to maintain a slim figure as they get older, not easier. That’s certainly the case for me and I eat a good diet.

If she’s a smoker it doesn’t matter how well she eats, she won’t be getting the full benefit of it. Nicotine is a known appetite suppressant though so if she does smoke it will probably help her stay slim.

Married to William she doesn't have a legal surname though, and many of us think inherited aristocratic/royal titles are, frankly, ridiculous and we are not obliged to use them. And so Kate Middleton she must remain.

Why isn’t she Kate Windsor? That will be her legal surname surely? Though I know William was William Wales in the army or wherever he served.

I think she conforms to what is expected of her. She, no doubt, lives in luxury but she would have had a very luxurious life without all the rest of the crap that goes with being married to the future king.Her parents are very wealthy, she was very well-connected and beautiful so would no doubt have married a multi-millionaire as has Pippa. She seems to love William, seems like a great mum, has learned how to 'fit' into the Royal family but I think her own family are more important to her.
I think she is a stronger character than she appears and no pushover. I think she is genuine, interested in people and not a snob. We only see what she allows us which isn't much.
I still think it's amazing that the great-grandaughter of a Durham miner from Byker will be Queen one day. Good on her. The papers are mean to her by keep calling her Kate Middleton but that's just snobbery.

I think she is rather bland and boring, which is probably what qualifies her for her role as wife of the POW. Nothing against her personally, but I wish we’d stop forelock-tugging and abolish the whole anachronism that is the royal family.

I think the children use the surname Cambridge in school.

Harry's kids use Mountbatten-Windsor.

I like her. I think she has received a total level of shit from the press with the stupid nicknames of Waity Katie and Duchess Do little. I think being a royal is probably not all it is cracked up to be- although has obvious compensations. I think she looks like she has a nice personality (nice smile and smiling eyes) and although I think she is desperately thin she looks elegant in the outfits she wears. I would not want her life in any way but I think she does her job really well. I also think that actually the nitty gritty of the job would be bloody awful. No privacy, not sure who is a real friend and who is selling you out to the media. I'd not take it. (I'd rather be a bog standard multi millionaire thanks. )

I am also someone who flipflops on the idea of a monarchy,. Not wholly republican - On the positive side of indifferent I think.
