Last time I wore socks with shoes was in high school 31 years ago. I don't know any women that own socks other than bed socks. Most women's shoes socks don't go with them, even sensible ones. You'd wear pantyhose maybe but that's it.

Saw it was a typical comfortable shoe, and no, women don't wear socks with them. And it certainly would clash with the shoe anyway.

Socks make your feet sweaty, so it's better without them. Especially with boots that can get hot and sweaty. Your socks would just end up getting damp. Last pair of socks I owned were in high school. I've got several warm winter thick bed socks though.

YOU may not wear socks with trainers, but many women do. Hate to break it to you, but I've seen with my own eyes women in Australia doing it.

And OK, you may not wear socks with boots, but you've never even heard of it? Do you have your head in a paper bag most of the time?

Brogues and socks is a great look, incidentally, and you can use a 'clash' deliberately.

Socks do not make my feet sweaty. I hate wearing shoes without socks because that’s when my feet feel sweaty.

Unless I’ve stood in a deep puddle or worn snow boots in a heatwave, my socks aren’t damp.
