Currently redecorating (hence user name) and looking for inspiration for pictures or prints to go on the walls. All the sites I'm looking at are full of stuff like this! Surely no one IRL actually has stuff like this on their walls?

I can't imagine having the shits and giggles one in the kitchen?! But I do have a 5 year old who is just learning to read so I may be biased

I cannot abide word art - not necessarily because I don't like what they say but because I am drawn to reading them over and over again. I wouldn't be able to relax and watch TV in a room with one on the wall. It would drive me bonkers.

@Changechangychange I strongly suspect he’ll come home from work and she’ll have covered it before the kitchen gets done… it’ll take a lot of work though, it’s not on a white background and it’s flipping massive

They’re ok for a friend’s birthday card but can’t imagine wanting language like that on my wall every day. They stop being funny after the first read.

Exactly this - great for a one-off, funny card, but not something I'd want to see every day, let alone have to explain it to the children!

We got some photos we had taken of views blown up large and framed them to put on the walls. It worked out fairly cheap and we got some spare ones so we can change them every now and then

OP don’t you have any photos of beautiful landscapes/places you have been which you can print and frame? Or prints of famous pictures you like?
Art doesn’t have to be expensive, but it should be personal and meaningful to you, otherwise what’s the point in looking at it every day?
You can tell when pictures are just purchased from a generic site and it sucks the life out of a home.
