To think no one has these in their house?

Currently redecorating (hence user name) and looking for inspiration for pictures or prints to go on the walls. All the sites I'm looking at are full of stuff like this! Surely no one IRL actually has stuff like this on their walls?

There must be plenty of people who like them if they keep selling them, so I guess it's just personal taste. Each to their own, and all that.

They're really not my thing, though. Apart from anything ... even when the actual joke is funny, it's only actually funny once, isn't it? It's not going to continue being hilarious on a daily basis when you have to see it hanging up in your house 24/7. Feels like it would wear thin quite quickly. Like sitting next to someone at work who makes the same ultimately harmless but also slightly annoying little joke every day.

We're househunting at the moment and if Rightmove is to be believed this shit is everywhere...

My best friend moved into a new house recently and it has a lengthy 'in this house, we...' type message on the kitchen wall. She absolutely loathes it but her DH has told her she has to wait a few months until they can afford to redo the kitchen from scratch before she can get rid. It's brilliant

I don't understand why anyone would want swear words on their walls.

I recently saw a house on Right Move that had this quote art (the cheesy ones too -‘ in this house we love deeply and forgive quickly’ etc… 🤢) all over the place. Every wall and even the mat in the hallway!

What was weird was that from their wedding photos, big prints in their bedroom of ‘The Smiths live here’, and ‘Susie & Matt forever’ (names changed) and a big heart print with their wedding date and dates of their children in, I already knew waaaay too much about them. Then their children had their names in wooden blocks on the windowsill 😩 maybe I’m too over cautious but that’s A LOT of info!

I have one saying "Messy bun and getting shit done", in my bathroom.

King and McGaw might be a place to start for high-quality prints of works of art.

I would love to go to a local exhibition but between working DIY and kids I just can see it happening.

A tin of white paint costs a couple of quid. I’d have been erasing it before I unpacked the house.

Quite the opposite *@Marvellousmadness*, I'm looking for actual pictures or photograph prints, but all my online browsing is coming up with these slogan type prints!

I can't imagine having the shits and giggles one in the kitchen?! But I do have a 5 year old who is just learning to read so I may be biased

Please try and buy from local artists etc. Googling for generic art is really depressing.

We stayed in an AirBnB once and there were inspirational quotes EVERYWHERE. One of the bedroom even had inspirational quote feature wallpaper. It was magnificent and I thought it was brilliant!

I have the nice bum one framed on my en suite window ledge!!
