To have done the most embarrassing thing ever

Happened about an hour ago and I think I’ll need to go home and never come back to the office again

I work with a very very very handsome man. He was on the phone in the office this morning trying to sort out someone to come and fix his boiler.

He happened to say his postcode and me being the creepy wee lady I am put it into maps on my phone to see where he lived Blush

For some reason (and I still don’t know why) my phone blared

STARTING ROUTE FROM current location TO handsome man’s postcode

I was 6 feet away in a quiet office. He turned to look and I couldn’t even look up for wanting the ground to swallow me whole.

How do I come back from this? 😂

Please someone else tell me you’ve done something equally as embarrassing

OH GOD!! I so feel your pain because it could have been me yesterday when a partner I work with mentioned to a client the street that he lives on. Of course I scuttled off straight away and googled it!!

It could still get worse -is he married or with someone? If so, he might go home and tell her about it and if she's seen this thread she'll show him this too!

He was probably just alerted by the sound of the phone and didn't register it was his own postcode. You'll still cringe over this forever and ever though!

It's embarrassing if you think it's embarrassing but instead I would enjoy all the fun right now that you're going to have relaying this story in the future.

It is very very funny. And while I absolutely feel for you in this moment (and your discomfort), I do thank you for sharing. It's brought a moment of levity. x

I am always very Hmmwhen people say something's genuinely made them snort with laughter, but this really has! That's so funny!

OP, that is hard to come back from.

In my teens when everyone smoked I tried to casually impress a boy by pulling my cigarettes out of my bag without looking at them or him, flipped the lid open shook them loose and said, 'Help yourself.' 'Er no thanks,' he said. I had just offered him a selection of brightly wrapped mini tampons. I never spoke to him or looked at him again. Grin

It could have been worse, you could actually have lit a tampon.
