To think Stanley Tucci is basically the answer to the question What Do Women Want From A Man?

He's talented, charming, cultured, funny, stylish, easy on the eye, exudes bonhomie, loves food and drink and travel and history. Basically the ideal dinner date. Masculine without being macho, intelligent without being overbearing, sociable and talkative without being a loudmouthed idiot.

AIBU to say that he's perfect husband material?

Sorry. Not Downfall. I meant Conspiracy.

flashpaper · 07/03/2022 18:32

@Nemorth

OP may I introduce you to Mark Strong and 1980s/1990s Patrick Stewart?

Both yummy.

DP had a dream once that I ran off with Mark Strong, and he mentions it every time he's on the screen (jokingly) but now I completely see it and I can't blame dream-me for running away with him.
CaveMum · 07/03/2022 18:32

Thanks @PolkadotsAndMoonbeams I need to sit down and watch that again. It’s cheesy as hell but I love it, and it still has one of the best film Tango scenes IMHO!

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 07/03/2022 18:35

OP I can't disagree with your post, I've fancied him forever.
I'll also take Mark Strong if he's available.

Gotajobthrunepotism · 07/03/2022 18:39

I’ve been assuming for years that he is gay. Not sure why at all now

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 07/03/2022 18:40

@RobotValkyrie

The idea that all women want the same thing from a man is sexist. And homophobic.

Seriously. Painting women as a uniform aggregate is gross.

Jesus, there's always one.Hmm
WestW7 · 07/03/2022 18:44

If we must talk about attractive bald men then I think Pep Guardiola is rather lovely.

DameHelena · 07/03/2022 18:48

@FatOaf

Stanley Tucci is an actor. A very, very good one.

I haven't seen Searching for Italy but I'd imagine he's playing a similar character to the one he played in Julie & Julia. Would you be so besotted if he were playing the role he played in The Lovely Bones or in Downfall?

Searching for Italy is a travel/food show. He ‘plays’ himself (well let’s be honest, a careful version of himself, as we all probably would if we were on the telly).
JanisMoplin · 07/03/2022 19:05

I think some people are taking this thread rather too seriously. It's just a fun crush thread. We all know actors are not what they appear to be. That said, I love Stanley too.

Ottolin3 · 07/03/2022 19:08

Stanley in my neighbour, I’ll pass on the message 😂

everythingisgoingup · 07/03/2022 19:15

I am too old for Stanley

He likes younger women (I am 49) Grin

Vanellopee · 07/03/2022 19:15

The rehabilitation of Rob Lowe’s reputation will never cease to amaze me.

glasshalfsomething · 07/03/2022 19:27

@maras2

I fell for him after watching Murder One in 1995. It was a weird program but quite ground breaking, definitely 'appointment TV' and much discussed next day at work.
I loved Murder One. The original box set programme! I occasionally rewatch it; but it hasn’t aged well!
icebearforpresident · 07/03/2022 19:36

Steve Carrell with the grey hair & glasses (like in The Morning Show, even though his character in TMS was gross) would totally get it. He’s gotten so much better looking as he’s aged.

BOOTS52 · 07/03/2022 19:39

Had to google him but no thanks he's all yours. Yet another man just read who had an affair....sorry your perfect man image has been broken

BOOTS52 · 07/03/2022 19:40

I like Pep also, he is a very handsome man...

Draineddraineddrained · 07/03/2022 19:40

@glasshalfsomething

It really hasn't has it? I mean regardless of any murdering the defendant we're supposed to be rooting for throughout is a grad A sexually violent creep! Yet he gets rehabilitated and invited to bloody Christmas dinner Envy

Is he now? Is he a nice neighbour?
BOOTS52 · 07/03/2022 19:41

To Icebear look up Steve when he was Michael in the office when he caught his foot in the George Foreman cooking his bacon....Love him in U.S. Office. He does look better as he has gotten older have to agree but would I fancy him no but he would make me laugh.

SirenSays · 07/03/2022 19:55

Blergh he'll always be the Creep from The Lovely Bones to me.

TheSpottedZebra · 07/03/2022 19:58

@BluesCluesToo

Just googled the Mark Wahlberg inc8dent and I'm shocked. What a nasty piece of work he is.
He's (repeatedly) a violent racist thug. Violent to the point of being charged with attempted murder. Also a misogynistic.
Notapartyanimal · 07/03/2022 20:02

I'm with you OP, he's been top of my ideal man list for years!

Just googled the cast after my previous post. Daniel Benzali was DEFINITELY weird crush territory.. Confused

My ex-boyfriend had a female best friend, when we started going out she had recently been dumped by someone who subsequently dated Mary McCormack. Fascinating story there for you all Grin

DariaMorgendorffer · 07/03/2022 20:12

YADNBU op!

CaptSkippy · 07/03/2022 20:13

was a big Jean Luc Picard fan as a child

Doesn't the actor have a habit of dating much younger women?
