To think Stanley Tucci is basically the answer to the question What Do Women Want From A Man?

He's talented, charming, cultured, funny, stylish, easy on the eye, exudes bonhomie, loves food and drink and travel and history. Basically the ideal dinner date. Masculine without being macho, intelligent without being overbearing, sociable and talkative without being a loudmouthed idiot.

AIBU to say that he's perfect husband material?

@nemorth

Both very much relevant to my interests Grin was a big Jean Luc Picard fan as a child, he was only pipped to the post in my Next Generation love list by Commander Data (I was a weird kid).

Mark Strong lovely to look at but just seems very posh and somehow military (even though I know he isn't). Feel like I'd always be standing to attention!

Have to say @notacooldad, excellent knowledge but you have broken my heart!!!

Yuck. Not in to him at all.

gracedentssketty · 07/03/2022 13:48

I love ST's Italy programme but I am also rather in love with Mark Wahlberg.

BluesCluesToo · 07/03/2022 13:49

Isn't he an old baldy bloke who thinks the sun shines out of his own...?
Sorry, it's a no from me.

Chishnfips · 07/03/2022 13:49

Nice enough guy but a bit boring and safe for my taste.

SirChenjins · 07/03/2022 13:50

He is very lovely - but I suspect the beautiful shots of Italy isn’t harming him either.

IcedPurple · 07/03/2022 13:53

"Easy on the eye"? I beg to differ but there's no accounting for tastes.

Looks aside, as others have said, the fact that he cheated on his wife and walked out on her and their young children firmly crosses him off any 'ideal husband' list.

Also, he's an actor. His public persona is just that, a persona. None of us has a clue what he's 'really' like.

Butteryflakycrust83 · 07/03/2022 13:55

Have you seen the throwback photo he posted on his IG? Swooon!

He is totally not my type but yeah...I see it and I would.

Horrible past though! Heres hoping hes matured with age.
romany4 · 07/03/2022 13:59

I really like him but if we're going to go for educated sexy bald men, I'll have Mark Strong please

JanuaryJones22 · 07/03/2022 13:59

Agree

Wagsandclaws · 07/03/2022 14:01

He looks a lot like my Cypriot ex Dh.

I like Stanley Tucci though and follow him on Instagram. He gave me the creeps in the lovely bones and he had cancer quite recently too which must have been scary as he has two young children with Felicity Blunt ( yes the actress Emily Blunt's sister ).

TammyOne · 07/03/2022 14:02

Oh God yes. I don't know what he is like as a person but physically (stocky, dark, Italian..) very much yes please.
Also, I have in fact seen him naked...(in a play!) He seemed very comfortable with it all swinging around..Grin

diddl · 07/03/2022 14:03

@maras2

I fell for him after watching Murder One in 1995. It was a weird program but quite ground breaking, definitely 'appointment TV' and much discussed next day at work.
That was a fantastic programme & the first thing I saw him in.
MangosteenSoda · 07/03/2022 14:03

I’m with you OP. He’s right up there in my top 3 along with Donald Tusk and Jack Antonoff.

The snug fitting trousers and crisp white shirts are making the Italy programme very enjoyable indeed.

HerbErtlinger · 07/03/2022 14:11

I have a crush on him but I have a big thing for bald men Grin

AuldFox · 07/03/2022 14:13

@notacooldad

I thought his first wife died? She did. He had an affair when she was alive.
Ah. Everyday is a school day.
notacooldad · 07/03/2022 14:13

Have to say @notacooldad, excellent knowledge but you have broken my heart!!!
Sorry about that
He is doing an Evening with.... in Manchester and London if you fancy seeing him live. I know Manchester is 4th April.

XelaM · 07/03/2022 14:14

Errr.. no. That's young Paolo Maldini

IcedPurple · 07/03/2022 14:17

Paolo Maldini is gorgeous. Still looks fantastic even now, into his 50s.
BigWoollyJumpers · 07/03/2022 14:19

We love Stanley in this house. Even my teen girls, who love him as an actor, Devil Wears Prada, Hunger Games, Marvel etc etc. He is also an absolute hoot on chat shows. He is that lovely mix of Italian/American now living in UK, sardonic humour and irony.

He looks a bit like DH (dark, bald, well dressed), I tried to get DH to buy thick black rimmed glasses this weekend, he was having none of it. I'm sad!!

I have just read his book as well at watching ST in Italy. I am really enjoying it, but tbf, it may well be that as I am Italian descent, I am somewhat biased.

Sticky?

He's really trim?

BridgesofMadisonfan · 07/03/2022 14:21

Ahem. I meant stocky......

BloodyN0rah · 07/03/2022 14:23

@Sparklingbrook

I’m sticking with Rob Lowe. For the looks alone.
There's a queue.
