The man seems quite incredible. I didn’t know much about him until now but he seems incredibly brave and intelligent. Was just reading an article about how he has been tirelessly and successfully speaking to western leaders to get stiffer sanctions and support implemented, I really hope he remains safe.

@ShittyFingers

He’s got balls of steel and was apparently the voice for Paddington bear
yes that's true, in Ukrainian version of the Paddington and Paddington 2.
Urbanisation · 01/03/2022 17:35

Is that why he's bought so many London properties off-plan? Maybe he feels a natural affinity to the place.

QOD · 01/03/2022 17:38

I’m ridiculously concerned he’ll be killed, Pukin has sent those god awful mercenaries to kill him - he’s just such a normal, funny, clever guy

munchkinman · 01/03/2022 17:39

I think he’s amazing too x

Urbanisation · 01/03/2022 17:40

He's an oligarch. Ffs open your eyes. Ofc Putin wants him killed. He wants Putin killed too. There are no innocents in power in that region.

PIKNIK20 · 01/03/2022 17:42

A true hero. Let us hope and pray for his safety and that his pleas for help from the West will not go unanswered. I think the West can do a lot more (not to mention that he should have been listened to much earlier, instead of listening to Putin apologists and NATO haters)

Hertsgirl10 · 01/03/2022 17:42

@ShittyFingers

Most appalling thing I have ever seen on this site tbh. 😂

JohnFather · 01/03/2022 17:42

Are you aware he was popularly elected in 2019, promising to eradicate corruption in Ukraine. Then he & his closest political/Governmental cronies were found out to have their fingers in the till?
“The 2021 Pandora Papers revealed Zelenskyy, his chief aide, Sergey Shefir& the head of the Security Service, Ivan Bakanov, operated a network of offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands, Cyprus etc owning expensive London property. Zelenskyy handed his shares to Shefir.“

Urbanisation · 01/03/2022 17:44

Exactly. It's not on tiktok but this is a matter of public record.

Also, those were closed elections. He'd previously gone on a ticket of open elections but those weren't "because timescales".

MrsTommyS · 01/03/2022 17:46

I don’t care about his past I only see what he is doing now!

I think he’s awesome!

When the shit has hit the fan he’s standing strong.

I just worry so much for him and his people I really do. It’s sickening watching the news.

Beachbreak2411 · 01/03/2022 17:50

So overwhelmed with admiration for him and his wife. They are true leaders and incredible people. Can you imagine Bj and Carrie hanging around and being real figure heads for our country? Everything I see and watch and read about him just increases my admiration.

Urbanisation · 01/03/2022 17:51

Well he's in power now and making decisions of international significance as a result of his actions "in the past" ie during the last three years.

Do you always just take people at face value when they pop into your phone/telly and never examine how they got there?

If so I guess i can admire your commitment to naïve unthinking decision making but it's maybe not the best way for humanity in general to proceed.

Bartonzam · 01/03/2022 17:53

He is a true hero. Love him and all the power in the world to him. I hope he stays strong and triumphs. Bravo.

Poodles23 · 01/03/2022 17:54

I agree, he’s amazing, he’s so brave and one of the best and nicest politicians I’ve heard of.

Urbanisation · 01/03/2022 17:54

Fuck me. 🤦‍♀️

NETSRIK · 01/03/2022 17:55

His speeches are amazing. He is an inspiration.

MsFogi · 01/03/2022 17:57

He is in stark contrast to Johnson who I suspect would have been on the first flight out!

fussyhousewife · 01/03/2022 17:57

Such courage being displayed and today he received a standing ovation from the European Commission. I pray for them every day. I also pray that one of Putin's Generals either arrests Putin or shoots him as I fear it will only be from within the Kremlin that Putin will be stopped. Maybe that is why he sits so far away from them all - afraid one of them will "scratch" his leg and he will be poisoned - Putin would be well aware of how that works.

Silverspark07 · 01/03/2022 17:58

There isn’t one hero in war but this war has proven that a true hero has inspired other hero’s to step forward! Seeing foreign civilians also take up arms because of how inspiring Zelensky and Ukrainian’s are is heart warming. I just hope that they are victorious. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

Urbanisation · 01/03/2022 17:59

You people are funny.

ilovesushi · 01/03/2022 18:00

He is brilliant!

Littlepicker · 01/03/2022 18:01

I feel exactly the same, and am terrified that he is going to get killed. I think the world would be devastated if he did

TooBigForMyBoots · 01/03/2022 18:03

@Urbanisation, Britain elected a corrupt, lying politician to be PM. The thing is we know where PM Johnson would be if we were invaded: at the front of the queue to get out. By contrast, Ukraine's President Zelensky has stayed to fight and lead and inspire his people. It's ok to admire him.
