The man seems quite incredible. I didn’t know much about him until now but he seems incredibly brave and intelligent. Was just reading an article about how he has been tirelessly and successfully speaking to western leaders to get stiffer sanctions and support implemented, I really hope he remains safe.

@MsTSwift

My kickboxing teacher follows the mayor of Kiev who is a former heavyweight boxing champion my crush has transferred to him
He's the famous boxer's brother.

They all seem hard AF

Trixiefirecracker · 28/02/2022 10:55

@Porridgealert I thought his economic sanctions were pretty pathetic and weak tbh. He’s not a good leader and will not be remembered as such and yes, I truly despise him for what he has done to this country and what a lying, pathetic weasel he is. People are correct in that, if the war was on our doorstep Johnson would be the first to be high-tailing it out ( or hiding in a fridge) or maybe having a cheese and wine party on a beach somewhere and calling it an emergency war cabinet meeting. I can never trust him after what he has said and done, it’s all smoke and mirrors with Boris. Most of it smoke blowing out from his enormous arse.

derxa · 28/02/2022 10:56

@Fakenamefornow

Compare this to our 'leadership' none stop parties while people are banned from attending funerals.
Hmm 'parties'
BorgQueen · 28/02/2022 10:57

If the stories are true : the Chechen murder squad sent to take him out have been annihilated.

I imagine satellite surveillance has proved very useful in that respect.
Don’t lets get carried away with the view that Ukraine is some democratic paradise though. If they come through this and forge closer ties with Europe lets hope they are made to get rid of the surrogate baby farms too.

ShittyFingers · 28/02/2022 10:57

@MimosaPiqueNique

shittyfingers thank you for providing some light relief in these tense times. My dd, home with covid, just asked ‘mummy why are you laughing’
Flowers laughing through tough times is the British way ☺️
Proudboomer · 28/02/2022 10:58

Never really knew much about the Ukraine or it’s president but he is an inspiration and makes our western leaders look like spoilt school boys.
We have Volodymyr Zelenskyy standing with his people on the front line
Or Justin Trudeau who went and hid from Canadian truckers.

Mylittlepotofjoy · 28/02/2022 11:06

He is a very brave man inspiring a brave nation. I would want to have a leader like him if this was happening to the U.K.

HeadPain · 28/02/2022 11:10

@MaddieElla

I also read this about him. ❤
Oh this will give him even more drive and determination.
MimosaPiqueNique · 28/02/2022 11:15

Borgqueen unfortunately 400 Russian Wagner mercenaries are in Kyiv to assassinate P Zelensky, according to french media who have experience of these mercenaries in Mali.

shittyfingers you’re right about British humour in dark times.

badgirlsclub · 28/02/2022 11:18

@Fakenamefornow

Yanbu I admit, I rolled my eyes when the Ukrainians elected a comedian, but he's been brilliant through this. I wonder if his family got out?
He said his family are still in Ukraine and he's number 1 on the hit list & wife and children are number 2. Very scary for them.
showmethegin · 28/02/2022 11:20

@CailleachGranda Both he and his brother were world champion boxers

KeepYaHeadUp · 28/02/2022 11:40

@teaandchocolate1

Lighthearted, but can't believe that some people fancy Boris Johnson.

The thought of him naked.....

🤮🤮🤮

🤮🤮 Please stop!!!!
BrightYellowDaffodil · 28/02/2022 11:49

Boris is a bit of a buffoon but I don’t think you can question his looks! There are lots of people who agree that he’s one of the most handsome PMs we’ve had. I have fantasies about sucking his eyebrows

I'll add that to the list of "Things I Wish I'd Never Thought About"...

Back to Zelenskyy, that man has got BALLS. A true leader and it says everything about him that he refused to be airlifted out, even though it may cost him his life. (And it says everything about the Biden that he'd consider that as a viable option...)

He has taken all the sanctions the EU has but did most of them earlier

What on earth are you talking about????

Trixiefirecracker · 28/02/2022 12:11

@Porridgealert I’m sorry, I think it’s you that’s been brain washed. You are obviously not reading the news I am reading. Try reading this for starters… www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/feb/22/vladimir-putin-ukraine-sanctions-boris-johnson

PAFMO · 28/02/2022 12:12

The British govt is probably feeling a tad embarrassed about all that Russian money in the party's accounts. How much was it again? Liz Truss was forced to admit it last week on BBC breakfast.

Trixiefirecracker · 28/02/2022 12:13

It’s only when Boris faced criticism that he has added some ‘sterner’ sanctions but still not enough I’m afraid.

helpmeihaveatoddler · 28/02/2022 12:14

He's truly amazing. Nothing but respect for that man.

girlmom21 · 28/02/2022 12:16

He had a meeting with the NATO leaders and said "this might be the last time you see me alive."

He's willing to stay and fight for his country. Could you imagine our government if Russia were invading, or Joe Biden?

He's a true leader.

Trixiefirecracker · 28/02/2022 12:19

2.3 million from Russian Oligarchs I believe…maybe that’s why our sanctions have been so shit and slow….time to give Russian oligarchs plenty of time to move their money to safety before we introduce any meaningful sanctions.
CryingAtTheDiscotheque · 28/02/2022 12:21

Not so embarrassed that they’ll return the money, however.

whynotwhatknot · 28/02/2022 12:23

Hes brilliant
was offered to leave the ukraine he said i need help not a lift

TiddyTidTwo · 28/02/2022 12:23

I think he's absolutely incredible!

I know we cant intervene physically, and initially I was glad, NATO rules and all that but as an ex servicewomen it's really, really going against all my instincts and frustrating to see us to not go in and help.

British Army are second to none with tactical urban warfare and I absolutely do not want to see Ukraine and it's wonderful brave, stoic people fall to Putin.

SuperSocks · 28/02/2022 12:30

@OnlyAFleshWound Are you in Ukraine at the moment?!
