Just that really. Sociopathic Patel refusing visas. In a time where we need leadership & empathy & intelligence there's a ducking idiot at the helm & Rees~Mogg making a fortune with insider trading.
Who the hell will admit to being so sociopathically selffish & grabby to still vote Tory?

Grumpsy wins Best Typo of the day 😊I'm going to call the bastards that from now on 😂

I know all the arguments in the FWR echo chamber. I used to be one of you. But actually when you step outside it you realise a lot of what gets said on that board is a result of the stalwarts winding each other up for years, rehashing the same arguments and patting each other on the back about how clever they are.

Spot on

OMG12 · 27/02/2022 09:03

Probably anyone who tries to identify any actual policies of the Labour Party.

I say again, if you don't vote against the tories, who are doing more damage to women than anything else, you are the problem too.

By the way, a spoiled vote means fuck all. They don't get compiled and fed back to anyone. They get thrown away. All it means is that you've wasted your vote which women fought and died for. THAT is stupid.

@Ramalamadingdongs Except if you pay attention to the news you will realise that everything FWR said would happen, is happening. So it is no longer 'winding each other up', it is ACTUAL REALITY.
SuitcaseOfWhine · 27/02/2022 09:05

I live in a very Tory area. At the last poll they would be predicted to lose their seat if there was a GE. One of them is a very decent Tory who doesn't vote selfishly in parliament and was behind the public during partygate. It really says something when an area that has been Tory for over 100 years would lose their seats if there was a GE tomorrow.

I do wonder how the Ukraine and Russia conflict might tip the polls. I suspect Boris will use it to come across as Churchill like he always does, but with a huge cost of living crisis looming, I don't think this will work and people will be very angry.

Chocaholic9 · 27/02/2022 09:08

It all depends on who is the opposition leader.

Faced again with a choice between Boris and Corbyn, I'd be voting Boris.

VladmirsPoutine · 27/02/2022 09:09

Generally speaking I think the country is welded to suffering. They seem to think Labour is all about giving everyone 'free' things and people don't like the idea of others not suffering, particularly if they are viewed as 'undeserving'. I think it's quite a British thing.

Lou197 · 27/02/2022 09:10

@Migrainesbythedozen

I don't live in the UK so can't vote there, but despite being a Labor voter in my own country, I could never vote UK Labour. They are stripping women of their rights to safe spaces, their rights to privacy, their rights to dignity. Voting UK Labour would feel like a vote for the ultra far right.

However, I understand it's not compulsory to vote in the UK? (It is compulsory to vote in Australia) So my solution to those like me that would slit their wrists or lay on train tracks before they vote for a woman-hating party in the UK like Labour is simply to not vote at all. If enough ABSTAIN from voting, it will send a message to Labour.

Completely true. I would vote Labour but cannot for this reason. I am terrified for the future of women (if we are even allowed to be called that anymore)
RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 27/02/2022 09:13

@Iknowitisheresomewhere

I read Riapia’s comment not to mean ‘All Tory voters are stupid’ but actually ‘implying there is only one good choice in the current political system is naive/stupid and one of the main problems with some political parties is that they hold the view that they are ‘morally right’.
Yes so did i
Cluckycluck · 27/02/2022 09:13

@elbea

I think people like you OP calling people names or other posters calling people thick just make people more entrenched in their views.

Why not have a reasoned debate with people instead of just name calling? The irony is that all the name calling just makes you seem like the things you are calling others who simply have a different opinion to you.

Absolutely agree with this.

I struggle to talk about politics with anyone as I'm fed up with being called names for having a differing opinion.

I say again, if you don't vote against the tories, who are doing more damage to women than anything else, you are the problem too.

So can you explain exactly how a law of self id, won't be a problem for women? And you can no longer use the argument of 'oh well other countries have self id and its fiiiiiiiine' because the evidence is emerging that its not fine (eg. Barbie Kardashian, WiSpa etc). So how will it not affect women?

I can't vote Labour because their politicians have completely discredited themselves in their desperate attempts to keep on the TWAW line. From Dawn Butler saying that babies are born without a sex, to Alex Sobel saying he doesn't believe women have the right to any single sex spaces (and going on to say 'we don't want your bigoted vote anyway), to Lisa Nandy saying that a male rapist should be allowed in a female prison if he identifies as a woman (i mean, WTF?) to Keir himself saying its 'not correct' to say that only women have a cervix.

Yes, that particular issue is important to me, but it's much bigger than that. These politicians have shown they will say anything, are willing to make it look like they have terrible judgement, that they don't even care about facts, if it means they are adhering to a certain dogma. And if they do it on this issue, what else will they do it on? I can't vote for that. I've always voted Labour so I'm a bit stuck really.

@toconclude - it isn't transphobia.

Chocaholic9 · 27/02/2022 09:17

Saying that it is transphobia, only highlights your ignorance.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 27/02/2022 09:17

And yes,I thought lessons had been learnt that the 'if you think or vote differently to me you are a thick bigot' doesn't bring people round to your way of thinking! Clearly not...

NeedAHoliday2021 · 27/02/2022 09:18

You do remember that the choice was Boris or Jeremy Corbyn? Can you imagine his leadership through the pandemic and now international crisis with Russia and Ukraine? While I prefer Keir to Corbyn, my family’s experience of Labour was they talk a good talk but fail to deliver. Really unclear how Labour would be better.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 27/02/2022 09:18

So the entire country should be sacrificed to your transphobia.

Women's rights are 'transphobia' then?

I agree, migraine didn’t even mention trans people
balalake · 27/02/2022 09:23

Some will vote for a Tory because they have been a good constituency MP (yes there are some). Some vote for the Tories out of dislike or fear of the alternatives.

The current government is one of the Conservative Party, not a Conservative government in my opinion.

Migrainesbythedozen · 27/02/2022 09:24

@toconclude You are deeply ill-informed and ignorant. And possibly femphobic. It is not 'transphobic' to want women to have safe spaces. Educate yourself, your attitude is bigoted and disgusting.

iheartmybeachhut · 27/02/2022 09:27

Voting tory? Has there been a general election in the last couple of months and I missed it ?

iheartmybeachhut · 27/02/2022 09:29

@HootOwl

Yep. The recent elections/ the referendum in 2016 show that a large proportion of people are indeed thick/ uneducated/ ignorant/ incapable of rational thought or even reading well-publicised factual information/ critical thinking/ have no grasp of economics, politicis, law, geopolitics, etc. Look how many people are shocked that there is inflation now, after a pandemic and enormous state spending and now a war in countries that export much fuel and food! 🤣 A lot of people ARE thick, sadly.
Calling people names makes you sound like you are about 10.
