To wear tights with knickers?

Someone said you're not supposed to wear underpants when wearing tights - that they are 'pantyhose' with the pants built in. Have I been doing it wrong all my life?

I've googled and there seem to be different opinions, but I wanted to see the percentage split. AIBU TO wear tights with underpants underneath?

It would be disgusting without!

Firstly that is begging for a yeast infection surely?
And secondly what happens when there is a gust of wind? Tights dont exactly hide your fanny or bum crack

Certainly cheap tights would be no good without pants, seams in the wrong place and hardly comfy at the best of times!

Bloody hell. I hope you are trolling rather than seriously canvassing opinions on whether or not to wear underwear.

Most are designed to be worn over pants, they were called “pantyhose” as opposed to stockings, because they also have a pant area, not because they are a substitute for knickers. Some do have a built in knicker with a slightly more robust gusset which I have worn with slinky evening dresses, but most need knickers.

I sometimes wear knickers OVER my tights too (stops the crotch dangling by your knees)

I do this. Nothing worse than having to hoik them up. I'm yet to have a yeast infection.
