What’s the thing you fantasise about but probably wouldn’t do

Mine’s taking a day of annual leave from work. Getting on the train and doing my normal commute to work in the city. But then checking into a hotel, getting in my pjs, watch telly all day, order room service and sleep. Then get dressed at the end of the day and do my commute home. No one would know. 🤣 What’s yours?

I want to get a Mystery Machine, some mates and a big dog and drive round solving mysteries like in Scooby Doo.

I did this on my birthday last year. I put on my work clothes, dropped the kids at school and drove a couple of towns over to a town where no one knows me. I got a "day use" hotel room, watched crap on tv, jogged along the beachfront and had tea and cake in a local cafe, followed by a long jot bath. I didn't tell anyone I'd done it and just arrived home at the usual time. It was great!

I'd like a week away by myself. Preferably near a nice warm beach, and lots of money to spend on whatever I like. While I'm dreaming I'd like to be a bit thinner too without having to diet

I'd like to be a published author. Love writing. I can write a reasonable first draft, but no good at editing. I lose interest then, so I'd probably hate getting a book to publishable level really.

I'd also like to be able to turn invisible and go and revenge wrongs done to me. Maybe just walking behind them and whispering in their ear or hiding one of their shoes when they're in a hurry to leave. Yep. Petty.

And I'd like to have the house tidy. A house in the state where I wander round for half an hour on Mondays and put a few things away and run the hoover round and it's beautiful.
To get there requires so much work, and many things to be thrown out. And no one in the house to mess it up including me

I did have a week to myself in half term and went out every day and night, spas etc so would highly recommend that for most women at least once a year! ;))

As for writing our books I am 30,000 words in, just need to send it off. Please finish yours, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain... us women need to use our voices and write our stories xxx

Quitting work and becoming a SAHM. We've worked it out and could just about afford it, DH would support me if I really wanted to do it but I just worry too much and feel like it's not the "sensible" thing to do.

Telling the FF at work that it drives me insane and puts my teeth on edge when she takes one of my spreadsheets and doesn't complete every column so I have to go in and fill all the gaps myself so the filters ACTUALLY FUCKING WORK!!!

This is actually an enormous pet hate of mine, so I'm going to share this fantasy momentarily.

I'd buy a cottage in the countryside and live the good life growing vegetables and raising animals. I'd live by myself and spend my free time traveling around the world having adventures.

I sometimes fantasize about having an affair , which is laughable as I know that I wouldn't do it at all and I don't even have a high sex drive
I know that I won't though, it's more the thought of it , than the actual doing bit. Plus I do love my dh and I'm a bit too old and fat these days and nobody would want me anyway. ! But day dreaming now and again doesn't hurt anyone, I'm sure everyone does it.

During lockdown my sister joined our bubble and came to stay. I told her l had to work late and told my boss l had to leave early to spend time with her and l took the afternoon to myself.

I've gone to buy the license - which you must have - loads of times but then what would I do? I'm a couple of hours from London and that wouldn't be an issue if I knew where to go larking!

To answer the above I jacked in my life, jumped on a plane at a days notice and emigrated without even having a hotel booked. Pre- internet, no map etc.
