Mine’s taking a day of annual leave from work. Getting on the train and doing my normal commute to work in the city. But then checking into a hotel, getting in my pjs, watch telly all day, order room service and sleep. Then get dressed at the end of the day and do my commute home. No one would know. 🤣 What’s yours?

I want to write a book based on my family and upbringing. I've drafted sections but I'll never see it though as the fallout would be huge (obviously I'm making a huge assumption that people would be interested in reading it).

Ponoka7 · 25/02/2022 15:47

To tell my half sister, who is thirteen years older than me, that I haven't forgot how bad her treatment of me was as a child and young person. Also the treatment of my children, who she now wonders why they don't want a relationship with her. I'd call her out for the lying, hypocritical, game playing, cruel and abusive person who she is.

McScreamysGhostPants · 25/02/2022 16:01

When I'm miserable I often spend an hour perusing land to buy in Portugal. I've got visions of a little Quinta of my own with a beautiful veg garden, a few chickens, a couple of rare/heritage breeds pigs, olive trees, grape vines and fruit trees. It would border a river for swimming too obviously and have it's own river beach. No internet, no phone. No tv. But lots of books, art supplies, gardening and exploring the countryside.

SecretWitch · 25/02/2022 16:05

Building my own bathroom in the back garden. It would have a huge soaking tub, sky lights, indirect lighting and heated floor. Not a god damn person would be allowed in.

Smokeahontas · 25/02/2022 16:09

Telling a couple of people what I really, truly think of them.

DesignforLife · 25/02/2022 16:10

Oh, and despite the fact that I'm 45 and have a husband whom I love to bits and a fantastic family life, I do fantasise about reconnecting with my high school boyfriend and having a torrid affair.

CrimbleCrumble1 · 25/02/2022 16:15

Shrinking to 1/12 of my size and living in my doll’s house!

Inextremis · 25/02/2022 16:17

Skysurfing. I saw a video once, of someone doing freefall with a surfboard attached to their feet - just surfing in the sky. It looked amazing but at 62, with a fear of heights, I'm never going to do it!

JimLaheysWhiskeyBottle · 25/02/2022 16:17

Tell everyone that I’m going to the gym but instead secretly meeting up with my PT and he shags me absolutley senseless whilst whispering to me in his native language.

Never going to happen though because he’s a nice person and he looks like that and I look like this.

Verv · 25/02/2022 16:18

Not very Mumsnetty but I would dearly love to pulverise one of my ex bosses with zero repercussions.

queenrollo · 25/02/2022 16:19

@Molehillfromamountain

Buying a little house, decorating it to my taste with a beautiful craft space, space for my baking things and no giant tv, games consoles or garish plastic toys. I'd sneak off to visit to decompress from my actual life which has none of those thingsGrin
me too. Just a tiny little old cottage, that was entirely mine.
somanylies · 25/02/2022 16:21

OP, why don’t you do your fantasy? It’s very achievable!

caringcarer · 25/02/2022 16:24

I have wanted to go to the cricket Boxing day Ashes match ever since I can remember. It obviously falls over Xmas and children have always argued they don't want to go. Now children are adults I could have gone but could not because of Covid. Now the next Ashes match is in UK next year so well after that but my health is deteriorating very rapidly so don't know if my health will hold out that long.

FreeAsAByrd · 25/02/2022 16:30

To all those with viable fantasies, please do them :)

Sadly that's not the case with mine. I'm happily married with kids to a really great DH. I do have a serious crush on my best friend, she's single, gay, broke up with her long term partner a few years ago. She's made a few jokes to me at times, and I know how things would go, but it never ever will. I'd love to, but never will.

cadburyegg · 25/02/2022 16:31

Having a threesome.

Mammyloveswine · 25/02/2022 16:36

Oooh id love to quit teaching and present on bbc morning live!

Mammyloveswine · 25/02/2022 16:38

Or write a blog and just do a bit of blogging! Write a book!

Be giavana fletcher basically!!

Therunecaster · 25/02/2022 16:39

@Crepusculum

Buying a secret house (whilst keeping this one) 20-45 mins away, that only DH and [almost adult] DC know about - so we can regularly claim to be on holiday rather than be at the beck and call of certain family members.
Ermmm that's exactly what we have done! GrinGrinGrin
Odoreida · 25/02/2022 16:42

@caringcarer I hope you have people around you who can help make this happen even if you are not well. Thinking of you.

To all of you with viable fantasies, DO IT! I went freelance as soon as I could afford to just so I could sod off for the day on my own and go swimming whenever I wanted and then work in the evening. It makes my life so much better.

2DogsOnMySofa · 25/02/2022 16:44

Cage diving with great white sharks

Tiger2018 · 25/02/2022 16:54

@cadburyegg

Having a threesome.
this is totally achievable Wink PM me if you want help with exploring this further!
MrsMillhouse · 25/02/2022 17:13

Snogging a cute guy at work.

I have absolutely no desire to break up our marriage. Or the guys marriage

In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m too old for him.

So it all remains in my head lol

Keladrythesaviour · 25/02/2022 17:33

Walking the Camino de Santiago. I love a good walk, but that's probably beyond me. Plus I wouldn't get the time off work.

I was following Andrew McCarthy on IG doing that in the summer with his son. Looked really interesting (and very hot).
glowingpink · 25/02/2022 17:51

Quitting work and becoming a SAHM. We've worked it out and could just about afford it, DH would support me if I really wanted to do it but I just worry too much and feel like it's not the "sensible" thing to do.
