Mine’s taking a day of annual leave from work. Getting on the train and doing my normal commute to work in the city. But then checking into a hotel, getting in my pjs, watch telly all day, order room service and sleep. Then get dressed at the end of the day and do my commute home. No one would know. 🤣 What’s yours?

Go on a world cruise with DH in a fancy suite cabin.

DrSbaitso · 25/02/2022 18:35

@DesignforLife

I want to write a book based on my family and upbringing. I've drafted sections but I'll never see it though as the fallout would be huge (obviously I'm making a huge assumption that people would be interested in reading it).
Fictionalise it.

I would like to buy a luxury motorhome, and travel to all the remote places up in Scotland. but it's too late now, as in my late seventies now, and live alone now.... Its would just be a reminder of earlier years in my life, as myself and late Husband, and our two young children then, lived in the USA for three years, and when possible, quite often, we used to hire out some fantastic motorhomes, and travel all down the west coast, as far as mexico, and up into Canada, and as many states that we could.

My late husband was working in the USA, but at weekends and generous holidays for him, we were able to travel far and wide and see some fabulous places over the three years,, and i loved driving these big motorhomes.

I wont be doing as such now, although it wouldn't bother me to be alone,, its just a memory now,.

FilthyforFirth · 25/02/2022 18:42

Shagging someone other than DH (I wouldnt cheat but jeez I dream about it frequently).

Telling SIL exactly what I think of her parenting and how she is partly to blame for how god awful her son is.

Alas neither will happen.

ohMaggieMaggieMae · 25/02/2022 18:46

@Verv

Not very Mumsnetty but I would dearly love to pulverise one of my ex bosses with zero repercussions.
Oooo, I would do the same. More than one Grin
TimeToMakeACupofTea · 25/02/2022 18:50

Going into space.

Suspect the reality would be more daunting than the idea.

Rockbird · 25/02/2022 18:52

Getting in the car and just driving off. Not telling anyone where I am going or when/if I'll be back. I feel like Jacob Marley with the chains weighing him down. I'd love to be free of that.

PermanentTemporary · 25/02/2022 18:53

There is one household i would like to visit while everyone is out and plant some bugs so that I can listen in whenever I feel like it.

I know someone who did just that Dad to twins, not long after they were born, they were sharing night bottle feeds. He was up stupidly early every day to start for morning trading (at desk by 7am) Didn't take as annual leave Got to (home) station as normal Knackered freezing on platform, saw the nearby premier inn from platform. Thought "sod this" Called in sick to work. Booked into premier inn Set alarm for 6pm Went back home to his wife and 4mo twins

Didn't fess up until years later

Ooh i hadnt thought of this but yes this
HangOnToYourself · 25/02/2022 19:04

I am a petty cow, I'd love to get back in touch with the ex who repeatedly cheated on me and gave me an std as a result then dumped me for another woman and make him fall for me then break the fuckers heart the way he broke mine. It's a flawed plan tho because I'm certain he doesnt have one.

Cheermonger · 25/02/2022 19:06

@Keladrythesaviour

Walking the Camino de Santiago. I love a good walk, but that's probably beyond me. Plus I wouldn't get the time off work.
Me too
OverByYer · 25/02/2022 19:07

Dave Grohl knocking on my door and asking me to go on world tour with him.

JaceLancs · 25/02/2022 19:07

Finding a new less stressful job

WeddingBella · 25/02/2022 19:26

Going to either Alaska or Banff (Canada) and living rurally for a year - chopping wood and hunkering down while being snowed in etc.
In reality, I'd be so rubbish I doubt I'd survive the winter but the idea of being quiet, isolated and toasty for weeks on end while it's freezing outside really appeals to me.

Another one is to go to a festival, get stoned and be free spirited and hippy like. Completely not in my nature but I'd love to just let go for a few days.

Riseholme · 25/02/2022 19:41

@Keladrythesaviour
@Cheermonger

I think you can walk sections of it.
I have a friend who does it with her dd.

Keladrythesaviour · 25/02/2022 19:43

@Riseholme yeah you absolutely can and I do think about it. But then I think part of the whole thing is walking it all in one go, and letting go of the world around you whilst you complete it. I don't think I'd feel the same doing it in sections...

Girlmumdogmumboymum · 25/02/2022 19:44

Honestly, just walking away from my life.

felulageller · 25/02/2022 20:20

If I want to do something I just do it.

I've done quite a few of the above but it'd be to outing to disclose.

Life's too short to settle for wishing rather than doing.

Can you give us an example @felulageller?
SecretSquirrel111 · 25/02/2022 20:26

Name changed.

I lived a double life for a while. Mumsnet is not the type of place to approve but it had its high points and I would be the last person in my social circle that anyone would ever think had. Time and life has moved on since then but it’s perfectly possibly to compartmentalise your life if you want to

OrlandointheWilderness · 25/02/2022 20:28

Waking up with the alarm at 6, going for a wee and brushing teeth then climbing back into bed with my utterly gorgeous BF for an entire day of snuggling, showering, sex and a takeaway in the evening before more snuggling and sex.

Not sure who would take the DC to school or sort the animals though....!!

TerribleZebra · 25/02/2022 20:34

I want to run through the china department in John Lewis with my arms outstretched knocking all the breakables to the floor.

OverByYer · 25/02/2022 20:39

Be locked inside a department store overnight. Try on all the clothes, the make up, eat from the deli, sleep in the beds.

Ivyonafence · 25/02/2022 20:57

So many of these are achievable!

I'd never cheat on DH, so having spontaneous sex with new people is up there for me.
