AIBU to not get the love for Ant and Dec?

Are they REALLY as good as their yearly awards would have us believe? I really don't like Ant, and I don't watch them, to be honest. But are they that good or is it just that the TV Quick gang vote for them year after year?

YANBU someone should pop them and the smug Scofieldor however you spell it in a boat together and force them to live out their days somewhere with zero communication with the rest of the world. If we could smuggle Putin and Boris to live there too I think that would be ideal.

When I find it hard to get to sleep, I think of all the people I'd like to put on a desert island and leave them there. Ant and Dec are top of the list, along with Paul McCartney!

I think when people pretend not to know which is which they don’t actually want anyone to tell them.
If they find out then they can revert to ‘I always forget which one is which’.

Yes, it's usually just an unoriginal way of saying "I'm sooooo uninterested in them, that I don't even care which is which."

I'm also (whispers) not as in awe of David Attenborough as we're all supposed to be. Even if he doesn't win specific awards, he's still put on a god-like pedestal, whereby the mere mention of his name is meant to get us all nodding along in presumed admiration.

No I'm not in awe of him, but I would rather watch a documentary about natural history than fooling about from Ant and Dec.

Blimey. Sounds like a fun Saturday night right there. I have turned the TV off altogether.

Its a close contest in my house as to who i hate the most ant and dec or Hollie and Philip. I think Hollie and Philip just about edge ahead for me, all four are detestable though.

I have never once watched a show hosted by Ant and Dec or even featuring Ant and Dec. So I can't judge.

The sheer, unadulterated snobbery and assumed superiority on this thread is quite breath taking. Different people like different things. It's as simple as that. Their viewing figures speak for themselves.

I always liked them, in a mild sort of way, when I was younger. Started losing respect when IACGMOOH started as I can't abide animal cruelty. Since the drink driving I'm pretty disgusted with Dec. That should have been the end of his career as a presenter.
