Did you have your toddler at nursery whilst you were on Maternity leave with newborn ?

Just that really. Is that what people tend to do ? I was talking to a child minder about this and she kind of laughed at me and said ' well you're going to have two kids love, you'll have to look after them both together at some point '. I found this an intriguing response..

I was a sahm

DS was 2 at the time and he went to nursery starting before DD was born and then continued it. He did 2 mornings a week. We could afford it and chose to spend our money on my sanity.

Yes, I did, though I reduced the hours a bit.
I felt it was very important to keep DS1s life in some kind of normal routine, needed to keep the nursery place, and to be honest, I don't think being at home all the time with a newborn would have been very enjoyable for DS1, it would have been a lot more tiring for me and reduced the time available for DS2.
Of course I had to look after all my children simultaneously my own at times but I don't think it wpuld have been in anyone's best interests to do that all the time.

I'm
Planning to because if I pull my
Toddler out for a year I will loose his place when I return to work.

Nope... he wouldnt settle and i feel it was a bit much for him!! He wasnt even 2 when his brother was born though so think he was a bit overwhelmed!

If he was at nursery before id had the baby though id have continued to send him!
