Anyone else just fed up of seeing their faces? I don’t hate either of them & Sheridan in particular is extremely talented ..you can’t blame them either for taking all the work offered to them. But my lord they seem to be in bloody everything to the point i’m starting to avoid anything they are in.

(There must be male equivalents equally over exposed and ubiquitous but names are escaping me right now!)

@TheRealBoswell

I’m sure there are plenty of channels that she is not on Xmas Confused
That’s not really the point, is it? If your enjoyment of a drama is marred by seeing the same faces consistently it’s reasonable to remark on it.

What isn’t reasonable is saying, ‘well don’t watch the telly then’.

@1forAll74

I like both these ladies, they get the jobs,because they are both popular, and talented, It can't be doing with Phil and Holly, who seem to be in everything, as in their morning show, other types of shows, and on some adverts too, Will they ever go away!
I agree !

Vicky McLure was great in This is England but that recent thing is just a repeat of Line of Duty

the80sweregreat · 21/02/2022 18:51

Trigger point : check out the thread about it
It's a very odd little drama with Ms McClure but strangely addictive.

A very inferior repeat! We are watching it in our house though. Partly for love of Vicky McClure, largely as it's good for heckling Grin I think Jed M was offered the producer role on it because they knew he'd bring the money in, but he knew VMcC needed the work (it being a bit quiet in Covid times and all) so he made a bargain: 'Give Vicky the lead and I'll do it.' And said to her, 'It's a bit shit but you're the lead, and I've got you a good residuals deal.'

Not that I've spent ages thinking about it Grin

MrsLargeEmbodied · 21/02/2022 19:27

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 21/02/2022 23:12

Flowerpower23 · 21/02/2022 23:15

Keeley hawes is an amazing actress. Also agree with a pp re David tenant! Had a v weird romantic dream about him not long ago and have never found him attractive before GrinBlush

I wouldn't bother, it's laughably bad.
lborgia · 22/02/2022 01:44

I wasn't happy with the first episode of trigger point, but it's rare that dh and I find something we both want to watch, so I persevered. Somewhere around episode, I started watching it properly..

It's still not the best from Jed M, but it's OK🤷

Italiangreyhound · 22/02/2022 02:31

Like them both. Love what they are in.

There is a Telegraph article today where the (male) writer Ben Lawrence has blatantly summed up this thread and passed it off as his own opinion Wink
