Anyone else just fed up of seeing their faces? I don’t hate either of them & Sheridan in particular is extremely talented ..you can’t blame them either for taking all the work offered to them. But my lord they seem to be in bloody everything to the point i’m starting to avoid anything they are in.

(There must be male equivalents equally over exposed and ubiquitous but names are escaping me right now!)

Sarah Lancashire has been filming a TV show in America.

Yes I'm bored seeing SS and especially KH almost everywhere. Like a PP on this thread I don't blame them for taking the work but it's really lazing casting on behalf of the TV production companies. KH has been in seven TV shows over the last three years and I don't find her a great actress. But she's a known quantity, I guess, like Nicola Walker.

Rob Beckett and his teeth seems to be the new golden boy at the moment on every chat show and now radio 2 on a Sunday, why ??!

A couple of others that we see frequently are Suranne Jones and Nicola Walker. I love these dramas that have women as the main characters.

they are under contract, they have to make so many programmes for a certain channel
its a bit shit but that is their bread and butter

I don’t think I’ve seen Keeley since It’s a Sin (in which she was PHENOMENAL)

Not a Sheridan fan at all to the point I've always avoided things she's in. I don't get it.

Jamie Dornan seems to be in everything at the moment which is starting to bore me.

YY to Sheridan Smith - I think she's vastly over-rated and Rob Beckett/Romesh Ranganathan seem to be everywhere at the moment. I don't mind KH, she's a really good actor. The one that annoys me most though is Lily James - a completely one-dimensional actor whose entire career seems to have been built solely on staring into the middle distance, crying, or grinning inanely.

Threads like these make me glad I don't watch broadcast TV much, I watch Graham Norton, gogglebox and Dr who, that's it. I do like Sheridan Smith though, a pint of lager was so daft and funny, the episode of inside no9 she did was amazing, as was the one with keeley Hawes, perhaps you should watch those Grin.

I like them both .SS very good, although does seem a little typecast as eternal "Northern lass,WC mum roles" KH is very good .From The Durrells to playing an MP .Thing is they get more work ,as their previous work speaks for itself.Newer faces have to prove themselves more.TV channels less likely to offer work if not a dead cert sort of thing

They do these ' Golden Handcuffs' deals with ITV don't they, so you see an actor appearing loads of stuff in a few years.

Happened with Sarah Lancashire, she was in about three different things at the same time at one point.

Also Suranne Jones seems to be pretty prolific.

I can't think of a male equivalent bar David Tennant and perhaps James Corden.

Agree with this, how on earth did she get cast as Pamela Anderson who basically oozed 90s sex appeal whereas Lily is as sexy as a cardboard box

Bloody Romesh Ranganathan is in everything and I can’t stand him, bet he’s crap to live with.

Lily James is in EVERYTHING drama, I liked her at first but now I think - give someone else a go.

I love Nicola Walker and think she should cast in as many things as possible. I haven’t seen Aneka her new detective thing - is it any good?

Sheridan has been in a few things recently (but I don’t think I’ve seen her more than once a week). But she’s not in control of when things are put on TV she probably filmed some of them years ago. I’ve barely seen Keeley Hawes. Holly and Philip are on more or less every day at the moment, and in adverts. But I don’t really care about that either TBH, if you don’t like it turn it off!

I just can't warm to either, they both seem to be very limited in their acting skills/facial expressions which makes anything they're in very predictable. Same with Sarah Lancashire and Suranne Jones.

They've all got very good agents Hmm

I'm no great SS expert but I haven't been overly impressed by what I've seen. I don't get the hype. I watched Four Lives and thought she was wooden. She was blown off stage (in the depiction of grief) by the boyfriend of the fourth victim.
