There was a thread recently asking people to brag about their wonderful kids, it was really sweet!

It got me thinking, what about the homes we love and are super proud of? If you're anything like me your home is your castle and safe haven, and I just KNOW there are people here with ridiculously gorgeous spaces in their homes! (Self confessed house porn addict, love looking online at the new listings locally 🤣)

Soooo show me your fabulous houses, or even just little parts of them you absolutely love, brag about your achievements and hard earned beautiful homes ❤️

Some really lovely cosy homes and @CinzanoChic my 6’ 4” DH has just looked over my shoulder with envy at your high ceilings (you can see why from my picture).

Mine looks cosier than it is now that the days of putting the heating on are gone…

Tell your DH he wouldn't like our heating bill! I love your lounge! So cosy.

OP my house isn't fancy sorry so can't share pics! But would love to see others, particularly if they have a library area 👀
No pics cos it got filled up with food stores over lockdown & they're still there, but I have a library/study. We deliberately looked for a house with multiple reception rooms, so we have a separate room with bookshelves down one entire wall, a big flat desk*, a sofa & a coffee table. And a lot of pasta & loo rolls with nowhere else to go (tiny kitchen & no larder).

Decades ago, when few people had home offices & if someone said they had a study they meant a boxroom full of junk, we told a workman that something was in the study & indicated the door. He took the p*ss, "Oh, it's in 'The Study', is it?". He opened the door & was gobsmacked to see it was, indeed, a proper study. Grin

*Someone in the family gave us a fussy bureau with a tiny writing surface & lots of piddly little cubbyholes. I hated it & eventually threw it out. Give me space to work!

Well our house is far from impressive and well overdue a deep clean but we've got a room that almost no-one else has and will be jealous of, which is a foster kitten nursery and rehabilitation spa for their mums.

And no, you're not seeing it because they make more mess than you could ever imagine.

But here is one of the kittens lazing on cat hair encrusted trousers.

Now that’s just fantastic! What a lovely use of a room.

The best house pictures on mn were of the duck house... Can't remember the op but she had resident ducks and ducklings!!it's of pics of their Duck Island her dh had made!! Best Thread Ever

I'm not putting pictures, but two of my favourite things about my house are 1. In one room we have corner bifolds so with them open it looks like the ceiling is floating

  1. Large open hallway from floor to roof with Vaulted ceiling - huge open space, love it

Our house isn't fancy, but I absolutely love it. My very favourite thing is the front porch. The windows are original and slide right up into the ceiling so you can step right out. We love sitting there in the evening, watching the world go by. It is particularly beautiful when the magnolia is out.

UHM... It's not a mansion, but it is a charming home on a Florida Island. 21 Eagles flying by and 55 palm trees. I love it...Not high end at all, but mine.
Give me a month to clean...( and I'll show you)

I am loving this thread! Libraries, nooks, a waterfall, beautiful deck, I love the jungle mural, this stuff is great! Plus seeing everyone's tidy homes with the pictures up has reminded me I need to make an effort to actually put my own pictures up, why are they all sitting propped up two years in? I need to move up a gear!

So jealous of all your lovely historic homes. This is probably the nicest bit of mine ( I'm in Australia). The pool .You step out from the house onto a large covered area, ( bbq, outdoor setting) then into the pool, glass fenced. An acre of land behind that (which is my fave part of this home). Pool is whizzbang and has lights and water fountains and stuff we never use, but is great for a really hot day like today.

My little garden is my happy place, which allows my lovely DH to tell me how he never promised me a rose garden, but we got one!

I love my house, it's old and wonky. My bedroom is one of my favourite rooms, especially since I no longer have to share it, unless I want too.

That is my fave wall colour @Phillipa12. I had it in my last house with floor boards and white skirtings. So lovely.
