Me and DP both do it, and ours resolved to different answers today ! I would have got his answer in 3, and he would have got mine in 3 ! Have seen reports of the ‘split site’ problem, in addition my answer was unfairly vague I think, anyone else perplexed this morning ? On a serious note, it’s given us plenty to talk about, though my brain is a bit tired 😁

@ThankGodImAnAtheist are you sure you didn't miss a day? It's supposed to be wins in a row (ie. days).

ThankGodImAnAtheist · 16/02/2022 16:02

@Jenny70 Many Thanks ! I didn’t realise that, I HAVE missed a few, another excuse to insist on putting time aside for it every morning 😊

It's not great is it? American spelling the other day. My son got the word today and told me because I've given up. Although it's a word I knew, it really isn't in common usage at all. I used to get 3s,4s and the odd 2 before the NY Times took over, now I often give up. Not enjoyable anymore.

Cacklingwitch · 16/02/2022 17:45

Not sure if it’s come up already as I haven’t read all the posts, but NYT has cut words from the list that are unfamiliar like yesterday’s Powerlanguage one. So today’s Power language was yesterday’s NYT. The two lists will diverge from now on.

And once you use NYT you can’t go back!

(And my mum on NYT has blown tomorrow for me 🙄)

I struggled with today’s DIY word and I used worked for decades in a factory that made the stuff! The American branch of our organisation used the word a lot more than we did.

wooo69 · 16/02/2022 17:51

My word began with C today not A

I thought it was pretty obscure. The most obscure since I’ve been doing them.
DePfeffoff · 16/02/2022 18:13

I needed 6 tries - I got the vowels quite quickly, but there are many more common words that use the same vowels in the same place so it took some lucky guesses

Dontlickthetrolley · 16/02/2022 18:35

I'd never heard of today's word and had fingers crossed when I tried my last word!

Agora is Greek for market or marketplace. It is certainly not an English word.

Fudgemonkeys · 16/02/2022 19:18

I can understand the reasons for selling but now you have to think of different ways to spell a word in case they've used the US version. I'd never heard if the eord today but DH had Grin

IndiaRose22 · 16/02/2022 19:18

Do you all play it on the app or on a website?

RonniePickering · 16/02/2022 19:22

Just through Google IndiaRose22, it links to the (correct) NY Times one.

maybloss2 · 16/02/2022 19:55

I had the ‘right’ answer after several tries. When My bloke got home he said my wordle isn’t right -its behaving strangely. I said I’ve got aroma as the answer and we had a chat about re setting the browser which he did. A blank wordle comes up and he promptly put in aroma thereby getting a 1:1 score.
Obviously we are no longer together as I can’t abide such brazen cheating 🤓and no his name isn’t boris.

My morning routine, once dressed: Wordle , Nerdle, Globle, Byrdle, Guardian Quick Crossword, Guardian Cryptic Crossword. It's a good thing that I have retired.

CointreauVersial · 16/02/2022 22:18

Suggest everyone moves onto the NYT site, or you'll always be a day behind! Close your browser and reopen.

Mollysocks · 16/02/2022 22:39

Ugh NYTimes in ‘big corp take over something that was good and make it shit’ shocker

You forgot Quordle
Krabapple · 16/02/2022 22:50

Can we most say the words ? It did say spoilers in the title? I got Caulk today - never heard of it. I think it was aroma yesterday? I don’t get the 2 sites though. It only comes up with the NY times one for me

DePfeffoff · 16/02/2022 23:15

Loving Quordle! I've never come across it before. Just got the final one with my last available guess.

JambalayaOrGumbo · 16/02/2022 23:20

Daughter and I both had different words

JambalayaOrGumbo · 16/02/2022 23:21

And did them at the same time - realised we were using different sites

There is no app
linsey2581 · 17/02/2022 07:45

Can someone show me the official app for this. I think I downloaded the wrong app
